I bought this set for my daughter's birthday; perhaps I'm biased, but she's the best artist that I've ever seen for a 14-yr-old kid. And she's impressed me this much without even having any proper art supplies. Anyway, the kit seems perfect for the price point, except for one thing: it was missing the kneaded eraser—which, of course, my daughter really wanted. That's the only reason that I deducted a star. Otherwise, she's having a grand time trying out everything that she got, both in this kit and the 120 Castle Gold oil-based colored pencil collection that she got. I still really wish that it would've included everything it was supposed to, because I hate to see her even mildly disappointed with a gift that I was certain was a home run... ... show more

I recently joined a drawing group on fb with the intention of taking up a new hobby. I decided on this set since it seems to have everything one needs to start such an endeavor. I received it today and was pleasantly surprised when I opened it. It looks to be of good quality and everything is there. I love the zippered holder to organize everything. Bonus that it comes with a pad of paper to start! I used it to draw the group’s drawing prompt for the day and it turned out great! I need to watch some tutorials though on what the numbers on the pencils mean, beyond the brief explanation given on the package insert. Overall, I’m very happy with this set! ... show more
