$17.42 was my black friday sale price...well worth it. I was very tempted to spend 40-50 bucks on one of the bigger sizes/brands. glad i didnt. this little guy will do just fine. things i like... no battery just plug and go...cord is long, shouldn't get in the way. the light dims up and down when you hold your finger on the power button. The brightest option is just fine. I love that the black frame area is flush with the white surface. so if you are doing a big project moving the paper/hanging off the side wont be a issue. seems very lightweight/thin. it has 4 rubber leg disk thingies on the back side to help keep it in place, so thats good too...havnt really used it yet...time will tell... ... show more

Love this little light board for my art projects! For under $20, this board produces enough light to show through a copy paper print of the image I want to paint, PLUS my 140 lb Arches watercolor paper on top of it! I can clearly see the image and am able to trace out the important features I want in my painting. Well worth the money! ... show more

Great product for the price. Ideal to use when I am CriCut crafting. Portable, durable, light weight and perfect size. My only gripe...and its my fault...it will not turn on unless the USB Power is plugged in. I just presumed it was chargeable. If you don't like that extra wire getting in the way when crafting, then go for a rechargeable one ;-) ... show more

When I look back over the years of my drawing and card making, I marvel at how products have changed and improved -- like light boxes! I have my original light box and it still works very well but decided to switch out for this LitEnergy light box for these reasons: it is lightweight, very portable, a has larger work surface (than my original light box), and has adjustable light intensity settings. I was absolutely delighted with the features when I first used it on a recent sketching project! It is USB-powered and I regret that I did not opt for the cordless/rechargeable model -- but this is a VERY small regret. I always have a backup charger at the ready to help with my cph and laptop in emergencies. It's a great backup plan when your computer/laptop or an electrical outlet aren't available The LitEnergy IS lightweight but not flimsy -- that's great if you prefer using your lap as your "desktop". The surface is uniformly lighted. I chose the bright pink border because I preferred to have an easily visible outline when working on a large paper project. I bought this light box on a special Amazon pricing offer but would gladly pay the normal full price for the ease of use, convenience, uniformity of illumination and how easy it is to adjust the light intensity level.     • Arrived today in just the retail box, but works fine small slider switch on side to turn it on.

It just arrived today. It was shipped in just the "retail" box with no over packing. I took it out and for a moment thought it was broken, BUT there is a small slider switch on the side of the unit just below the charging port that powers it on. This not mentioned in the instructions ... not a big deal, but it did give me a start. It works fine. The brightness is adjustable and the lighting is very even. I intended to use it just for sorting my slides before scanning, but I may end up just using the macro lens on my iPhone and taking pictures of the slides. I'll need to play with it a bit more. ... show more

The power button is easy to bump and accidentally turn off. And if it has been plugged in for more than a moment or two, if it shuts off, the power button will not work to turn it back on. You have to unplug and reconnect. But it does technically work.
