I liked their ease of set up, use, and csrrying bag. Only one of the lights would turn on. And there was only one of the white attachments so one stayed silver. Returned due to the one light not working. The brightness was nice for the one though.

    • Very nice 2-light kit
I'd consider myself a semi-pro photographer having done weddings, engagement, and high school seniors. I wanted these lights for some small-product photography. Something that would work with both my professional cameras and my phone. This is a very nice 2 light system. I use it for product photography, and I could see it as easy to use for portraits as well. It has a unique deployment system for the lightbox. Think of the scene in Jurassic Park where the Dilophosaurus expands it's neck frill as an aggressive move toward the star nerd. Basically, that's how the lightbox goes from collapsed for transport to fully deployed. Once you fan out the fabric and attached stays, the fabric takes shape and you close the zipper to keep it in shape. With the lightbox deployed, The diffuser simply fits over the lightbox by a slight stretch to fit loops sewn into each corner of the diffuser. The holes match up with the rigid stays in the 4 corners of the lightbox. It's easier than any of my other lightboxes that use Velcro along the full length of each side for attachment. I struggled a bit the first time. But once you've done it a couple of times, it's kind of interesting and allows for a compact, portable solution. When my package arrived the box was undamaged, yet there was a small plastic clip at the bottom of the stand that was broken. It's the clip that hold the legs in place when the stand is collapsed. Customer service (through email) was answered quickly. Really it was answered within 24 hours, and they quickly sent me a free replacement piece for both tripods. That surpassed my expectations. I also asked them a question about using higher wattage LED bulbs, and they answered that promptly as well. The included LED lightbulbs are plastic, just like any LED bulb you would buy in the store. It's important to know that because the included bulbs are only 60W bulbs and produce around 800 lumens. I've read that some photographers recommend a minimum of 1,000 lumens. According to the chart below, you probably want at least a 75 watt LED bulb. I choose to replace the included bulbs with 100W LED bulbs. IMPORTANT: DO NOT USE ANYTHING BUT LED BULBS IN THIS LIGHT!!! Also, don't forget to get DAYLIGHT bulbs and not the soft white. Soft white is a different color spectrum and it will add color to whatever you photograph. 40-watt bulb produces 450 lumens of light. 60-watt bulb produces 800 lumens of light (most widely used in households) 75-watt bulb produces 1,100 lumens of light. 100-watt bulb produces 1,600 lumens of light. 150-watt bulb produces 2,600 lumens of light. These are constant output lights. You will have to position them closer or farther away from your subject to control lighting along with adjusting your camera controls. The carry case is well made.     • Broken lights, ordered a replacement and those were broken too!
Very disappointed in this product. Ordered and the first set didn’t work, even when tried with multiple bulbs and multiple outlets. Ordered a replacement set and those didn’t work either! Needed for a studio headshot session and now need to find replacements (obviously different brand) again! Do not order this product!! Was on sale for Prime Days and I can see why, they are crap! ... show more
