Because my flash unit is mounted in front, as opposed to inside the umbrella I find it very easy to check settings and transfer my strobe between my light modifiers. I also love the soft wrap around lighting it provides.

This is a great addition to my backdrop set up. The lighting is phenomenal. I wish I had gotten the sooner. The umbrella is very sturdy. Comes with a case I can’t say enough good things about it. Also, this is just the umbrella. There is no stand that comes with it.

First time using this umbrella - I opened it up and attached it to one of my White Lightning Ultra monolights. Got it positioned to where i wanted to be and locked the rod in place. I came back about 15 minutes later to work with it and I noticed the center rod was bending under the weight of the umbrella. It ended up breaking the center rod up close to the vertex of the umbrella. Never got to use it. Instead I ordered the next size down to see if it would fare better. ... show more

This thing is great for a huge fill or for a key light for groups. Or for full length individual portraits. Easy to setup, once you get the hang of attaching the diffuser (I recommend partially opening the umbrella, putting the diffusion in place, and then opening the umbrella all the way). Just don't leave it unattended in the wind, ESPECIALLY if the diffusion layer isn't attached. ... show more
