This is the cutest skunk costume I've seen! I took the risk of ordering the only size they had up to 18 months for my almost 24 month old. My baby is a bit shorter on the growth chart, so I hoped for the best. Reviews said that it was pretty large. We tried it on and it fits perfectly, except for the last button on the crotch area (he has a long torso). It was just so cute, we kept it and we're just going to add a small black material between the legs and safety pin it to keep the small opening closed. There's a zipper on the back neck area if your child has a larger head and it makes it easier to put on, and there's those snap buttons on clasp from leg to leg, like onesies or sleepers, for easy on and off and diaper changes. For a 12 month old-1 year old instead of 18 months, or a smaller baby overall, it might be a bit big, but it might still work, being more of a plumpy skunk w/ a looser fit. So cute whether they're crawling or walking, the cute stuffed tail swings giving it an additional cute factor. Cute and worth the $. The quality is nice and not cheap like others I've seen. It's not too overly heavy or thick, but it can get warm if you live in the warmer states and it happens to be a warmer day. My child is 23 lbs and wears size 18 months in most clothing brands (Carter's, Gymboree) and so I ordered the 12-18M size costume. The costume itself is well made and very cute, but larger than I was expecting. I suppose it would fit perfectly if you plan on dressing your baby in a winter coat and shoes under the costume, but we're just going to be sitting around looking adorable indoors. It appears to be very warm by itself and my baby will probably only be wearing a onsie & shorts underneath. I'd change my star rating to 4 stars if I could, but I don't seem to be able to edit them. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. As other reviewers have said, there's no stripe on the back of this costume. However, I bought some cheap fabric from JoAnn's and attached it with velcro (you can't sew it on or you'll make the zipper inaccessible). The hood was a little large for my 20 month old, so I ended up pinning it to the costume in the back so it stopped falling over his eyes. He's not wearing the feet in this video because I didn't want to get them dirty, but they're very cute and fit over his shoes without any trouble. The elastic around the ankle prevented him from pulling them off, but he wasn't too persistent. He didn't care for the paws hanging down over his hands, so we folded them up, but they're very cute. This costume is made out of a furry fabric, so it's quite warm. If you live in a warmer climate it might be too hot, but it was perfect for us. Overall, I was pleased with it. ... show more

Probably the cutest thing I've ever seen. Fit my 1 yr old son perfectly. He is 22lbs and 30 inches long. He has been walking for a while so it was important to get something he can move in. This is so cute and has room for a long sleeve shirt and pants under it. It fits like a pajama romper which makes it easy to change him in and the hat/headpiece fits perfectly considering he has a pretty big head (98 percentile). The mitts are attached and don't seem to bother him and the booties are a nice touch which fit over his sneakers and have grippers on them so he can walk. The material is a quality velour type and the fur part seems pretty secure. The only issue is I want the tail to stick up so ill just sew a lil knot to keep it up! No big deal. My son is in the 90% for height and weight and at 14 months he's mostly a size 18 but can still wear 12-18. If Halloween was a month later he wouldn't fit. Put tight pj's underneath the costume for a better fit. I give it 5 stars cause he looks sooooo stinkin cute and he can't stop staring at himself in the mirror. Also the quality is decent. This costume was SOOOOOO cute! He was the hit of all the places we went on Halloween. He was only 5 months old, but he met the weight and height requirements to wear this costume. It was a little big, but it still worked fine. It was a muggy Halloween night, so he was fussy because the costume was hot. So if it's hot, don't put much on underneath the costume. The costume was really cute and good quality. It fit little big on my 16 month old. Even though i got 12-18 months and hes 32”and weights 22pounds. We got lot of compliments, people really loved the little stinker. Lol I wish he can fit it next year too.
