For the price these are totally worth it! They can really cut quite a lot - even though chainlink fence if need be! We are cutting down huge amounts of foliage around our property and these cut very well through small limbs and briars. My mom also has a pair -she paid twice as much as we did for another brand, and hers are faster. That is my only issue is that the cutting itself is fairly slow, but it does the job very well. Tested this product and the sound of the pruner sounds exactly the bad quality product from Scotts mfg. like a constipated moaning of a sound when the blade is closing in unusual slow motion. It seems it was used and reshipped again. Missing blade and tool to fix it. So back in the box and return immediately along with other worthless items bought from Amazon. ... show more

Looked for a long time for a well designed and SAFE hand pruner. This is the one. It has a dual trigger safety trigger and the blades close slowly. Other tools seemed to have a hair trigger and were waaay too dangerous! This one is strong, lightweight, has good battery life and gets the job done.

I used these shears out of the box for an hour and the battery lasted the whole time. These worked great, I cut blackberries, holly, rhody's - did a lot of cutting and had a blast.
