I have used this constantly since it arrived. We often have large branches to chop up for the fire pit this this little guy handles them we'll. We have take down a few smaller trees (trunks were the size of my thigh) and while it is slower going than a larger machine, it gets the job down. We had been borrowing a neighbors chainsaw and it was hard to start and a little intimidating. It also always broke down. If you have a problem using hedge clippers or if the limb is just too big, this is the ticket. I do not have to pay the yardman to come trim bushes (which costs a fortune) I can do it myself. I am 67 years old and thought I would never be able to work in the yard again. Thank you, thank you.

As some have already commented: The hand guard that’s not attached by the manufacturer should be. I realize that it’s been left up to us whether we want to attach it or not. During my first attempt to push it in the slot the right tab on the guard broke off. I then loosened the screw on the side and then my second attempt broke the left tab on the guard broke off. I use this to cut unruly branches and make kindling. I cant handle a chainsaw and this is just the ticket! I love everything about it. BTW, just an aside...I ordered one of these from a website that turned out to be in China. How impressed I am with this saw. It's powerful, yet maneuverable. I love the way it cuts through 3 -4 inch limbs with ease. Great tool to get firewood ready for the fireplace or bbq wood ready for the pit! I highly recommend.

My sister bought one of these as a Black Friday deal and loved it so much that she kept insisting to her friends and family that everyone should have one. I bought one in spite of my very high skepticism. But... it actually works really well! After an unusually harsh ice storm in central Texas which caused lots of tree damage, it was great at cutting up smaller limbs. I've since used it to trim small things like crepe myrtle limbs, holly trees, etc. I've not tried it on anything bigger than about 3 or 4 inches in diameter, but for smaller jobs it's great. ... show more

It is only $39 and it actually works??? whaaattt????? I had a broken pine tree in my backyard. I took a leap of faith and bought this cheap saw. OMG!!! It shred the broken branches into pieces!!! One of the best purchases I have made. Don't hesitate and buy one.
