If you already have the DeWALT 20v batteries laying around, just buy this. It works very well and exceeded all my expectations. The only gripe I have is it can struggle with some thicker diameters slightly BUT, you can try and cut it a few times and it’ll get the job done. And This does not have a safety feature on it, if you full squeeze the trigger with your finger in there… well you can guess the rest. Use responsibly. ... show more

The tool itself is easy to use and cuts through small limbs like a champ. However, the instructions are worthless. It's not clear how to turn the tool on/off. You have to keep guessing how the on/off function works.

The pruner is shipped with the blades closed. This is good for safety. However, after using the pruner there is no way to return the blades to a closed position. I’ve traded messages via Amazon. No resolution. I went to their US website. The customer support phone goes to voicemail- the voicemail is full. They have a chat - zero response. ... show more

These shears are incredibly strong. I was genuinely impressed by how effortlessly they made shrub removal. They saved me hours of work and spared me the sore muscles I would have endured from all the tricky maneuvering required to remove those shrubs. These shears have been a fantastic addition to my collection of outdoor tools. However, I do have one concern. I wish they had more safety features, especially to prevent accidental finger cuts or injuries, considering their sharpness and strength. Some kind of blade guard would be a valuable addition. On the bright side, these shears are compatible with my DeWalt batteries without any issues.     • Prunes Well
I used this to do some light pruning this weekend. It worked well with my DeWalt batteries, as indicated. I did have to read the instructions, as the on/off/safety functions weren't something that just "made sense" for me. I also appreciated the generic pruning advice in the book (cut at an angle, etc.), though doubt it's needed for someone who prunes enough to need electric pruners. My one complaint is that the blades stay open when you're finished pruning, and don't automatically close when you power the tool down. That just seems to be asking for a cut finger, and to me is a safety issue. The blades arrived closed, so I expected them to close again when the tool powered down. ... show more
