Upon laying on it, your body does warm up the comforter but it does stay cool to where I can rub my feet against another part of my bed and it's cold. It’s incredibly soft and feels amazing. I loved this blanket from the moment I ordered it but l was afraid that it would put off to much heat. But to my surprise it actually has an almost cooling effect. And I love that prior to and even after washing it the feathers stay in the comforter! I got a queen size and it fits my bed perfect. The duvet i purchased for it fits very well which was a plus. It has everything I want in a duvet. Is Oeko-Tex standard. Polyester free. It’s lightweight, perfect size, keeps me warm but not hot during summer months. No feathers coming out at seams or poking through. Not too expensive.

I would agree that this works year round. I am a hot sleeper and this doesn't make me too hot but it does also keep me warm on cooler nights. This has held up well in the washer and have not had an issues with the stuffing moving around after washes. Does become more plump/plush after a couple uses/washes, but it not as fluffy as I would have expected. I like the comforters that are like clouds or at nice hotels.
