I have seen this thing advertised for a couple years. I was always on the fence in purchasing because I thought it was too expensive. About 3 weeks ago, my husband was enjoying some mozzarella sticks and started choking. He got up from the table and I was able to pound on his back a few times to get it out. But, the thought in the back of my head was, what if I couldn't have gotten it out? Immediately after that happening, I got onto Amazon and ordered this product. It might seem expensive, but it's cheaper than losing someone you love. The product itself is well built and sturdy. I did the practice one on my leg to see how it worked and it was great. The suction was super strong and I believe that, if the need arises, I would be able to use this product to save a life of a loved one.
