  • It's going to work out great for me
Style: Outdoor Storage shed
This goes together fairly easy. The instructions are a little vague. The parts could be labeled better. Some pictures are vague. Other than that it's went together great. No

  • CAN NOT RECOMMEND
Style: Outdoor Storage shed
UPDATE 6/11/2023. Shed has many issues that you need to know about. In 70-80Degree weather the center of the floor in ours bulged up full length. When it cools down all is fine. Lifetime called 70-80 Degree excessive. So make sure you live or plan to build in the northern states or it will not hold up. There was no steal supports for the window panels that are shown in one of the photo's so those bulged inward or with 20-30Mph winds and heat. I did not use lag anchors in the floor as they recommend, I used full nut/bolts 1" fender washers on both ends through the foundation. If I would have used the cheap lag anchors they would have pulled up when the floor bulged. Another person not to long ago when I asked about the floor issue had mentioned getting boards to put down and anchor would fix the problem. That tells you the flooring quality is not very good. We were using the shed for storage so we didn't have to rent a place because of the increases going on. 8 x 20 storage was $250/Monthly and many places are now asking for lease. So we had to move a lot of things out to send them photo's to show it was assembled as they required. Living off grid and to buy a lot of the tote covers to put over things to protect them from the elements. Lifetime offered to send new flooring and panels but said that 70-80Deg weather is excessive heat and replacing all the pieces would not stop it from happening again. Their sale page does not say will not hold up to 70-80Deg weather or that it's considered excessive. In order to replace all with not being able to fix it requires total disassembly of the shed. ---------- 3 years ago a video about all the required de-burring by RubberToe Assembly on youtube "DO THIS FIRST". Their videos show all the steps for this shed. Helps understand what Lifetime instructions are telling you to do. Watch a lot of videos 1st or as you go. You would think they would have better manufacturing quality to make sure they are cleaned/de-burred and actually had the shed ready for assembly out of the box. Spent 4 days going through every piece in the boxes. They all needed de-burring except the wall hangers. At least only 3 of them were broken in the bags. They don't provide corner shelves anymore. GQP bag Only 6 of the ADW screws Only 2 of the ADV screws Had to buy other screws to put vent in one gable. 2 EDB Bags Only one bag had a DHL bag of screws. Not able to put windows in second set of doors until we g0t to the hardware. Page 44 says to Secure a Wall Support Channel (AFM) to the Corner Wall Panels (AGW and AGY) using four (4) Screws (ADZ). The end with two holes goes at the bottom Only one has places for Support Channel and screws. Same with the AGL/AGN, only one has places for the Support Chanel and screws. The edge on one of each is not full depth. Screw would go through to the outside. Page 43 Section 8 EKF Bag/Box does not contain the AIW board the assembly instructions said is needed. The piece they sent was plastic, not a board that looks anything like the picture in the instructions so no way to know that was the piece they were talking about since there was no AIW marking on it. Only when finished and it never showed it was needed. The roof pieces, their manual says there is 12 AGQ panels. Not so. There is only 9 AGQ panels and 3 panels with the label code 114 were in this setup with nothing in their manual saying anything about them. So now hope it will be ok putting them anywhere. The center truss square rod that is put in required hammer to force it under the two holes for screw & bolt that it put so much pressure against the trusses that roof panels started to bulge in the center from the force pressure. With the Full skylight, there is only one center screw holding down to the roof. The edges on either side of center start lifting up a small amount after couple days. 2 Extra End Caps (CVB) - Not sure why they did that. Are they going to be defective after assembly? Maybe I have the two A. M. Shelley Voorhees, NJ, US is missing in his pack. They show a product ID on the instructions. WATCH OUT! , They changed our product ID with a small green sticker on one corner of one door. No notification. They only tell you to get your product ID from your assembly instructions. Not another piece in a box. Door chains or other catch for the middle doors would have been nice. If wind catches them they hit a part of the roof that will start to damage the doors. They do NOT swing open fully. just little beyond 1/2 way. The AHM door Deadbolts, the top one on the side door falls down every night from any wind vibration. Will need to get you own better latch pin to work as you need it to. Search on Amazon JQK Spring Loaded Latch Pin. Spent abut 12 hours with assembly over 3 days. So at least that wasn't to bad. Double time beyond the 6hr assembler team. Saved $59.50/Hr. of their assembly cost. They wouldn't have de-burred anything. Assembly only would have cost $714 with their team. ... show more

  • Lots of time to assemble
Style: Outdoor Storage shed
I’ll start by saying my husband and I, two 29 year olds, put this together over five days, working about 6-8 hours a day. Could have gotten done a lot quicker but we ran into several moments where pieces wouldn’t go together as they should. A few of our roof panels arrived warped making it basically impossible to have line up in the trusses. Things like that go from taking five to ten minutes to taking two hours to figure out how to make the warped piece pop into place. Also, if you are doing the walls make sure you have enough daylight to do the entirety of the walls all at once. We got half way done with the walls before it became too dark to go on and when we woke up walking out to get started a small Florida breeze knocked every single panel down that we had put up! The front part of the roof over the doorway would not align correctly due to the two warped panels and it has resulted in the shed having panels that are not flush with the holes that connect it to the truss below. We haven’t had rain but we’re hoping to see it is still waterproof. We plan to put a tarp over this area just in case. I can’t say completely bad things about the shed because we are thankful to have. Our storage unit wanted to increase to $400 a month so the shed will pay for itself in less than a year, however, if the roof leaks I will feel so distraught for paying over three grand for warped parts that won’t fit together. We downsized from our home to a rv and the shed will serve to protect some of our most important keepsakes.the flooring is just a thing piece of plastic so you will definitely need some sort of base to assemble on to ensure water doesn’t intrude. We built a pallet porch and used extra wood to level the floor and keep it elevated off the ground. ... show more

  • Through great engineering or pure luck, my shed survived 102-mph wind gust!
Style: Outdoor Storage shed
My 20x8 Lifetime shed just survived a 100+ mph wind gust with sustained 60-mph winds. Lots of trees down in and around the area. Maybe we got lucky with wind direction, regardless the shed held up great. The end doors were pushed inward and a latch was slightly bent - but these were the only signs of what had slammed into it. It’s incredible to consider the force it took to push the doors inward. The doors had to be pushed past the rigid overlaps around the door jamb. I had to really tug on the doors to pop them back to the outside of the shed. Make sure the surface you’re assembling on is as close to perfectly level as possible. Mine was not, so I had to do a lot of torquing with ratchet straps before the final panels would snap into place. My wife and I were able to assemble it in 3 days without any experience by using the YouTube video series by a guy called Rubbertoe. It’s a fantastic step by step guide with tons of invaluable tips. We HIGHLY recommend this product!! ... show more

  • Not heat resistant
Style: Outdoor Storage shed
I purchased my shed in 2022. I purchased the 8 x 20 shed. I love the look of the shed and it was very reasonably priced. The shed is sturdy, but it does not handle direct sunlight very well. The shed floor buckles up when the sun hits it. But will go back to normal when the sun is off of it. The shed doors worped a little, and they do not close all the way. There’s a gap between the doors and the shed. That damage is permanent. It got so hot that one of the screws popped out in the inside of the shed. I couldn’t put the shed back in its boxes and return it. I contact the manufacture, and they offered to send me new parts, but those parts would just get damaged as well. They had no technical support in my area, so there was nothing they could do for me. I would definitely make sure that there is some shade over the shed. I love my shed however, I use it as my art studio when the weather is mild. ... show more
