Used for a week at a lake, only drank water filtered from lake and never felt sick. Didn’t have any strange taste either. The drip was slow at first before I realize you can sick the air bubbles out and the stream will go much faster. I’d recommend bringing a jug to let the water filter into then fill water bottles from that. Slow or not it’s great for a passive water supply! ... show more

Bought this to take camping to have fresh water. Everyone with me didn’t believe it would really be clean safe water to drink taking it straight from the lake we were at. To everyone’s surprise it was clean and tasted great! Absolutely impressed with this product and it made the best coffee while out camping! Thanks for such a wonderful product!     • The syringe is the weakest link!
Used it on my secong backpcking trip and the syringe is already broken ! The syringe is helpful to remove air bubbles faster. At lifestraw website, syringe is $1, shipping is whoppinv $12 ! Might as well buy some other filters. Now without the syringe, need to find another way.
