This is a pretty bike and is metal and light enough my 2 year old can easily carry and stand up. But unfortunately, if my duaghter hadnt already seen the bike I would have sent it back due to one small design flaw. The holes on the handlebar are misaligned. I DID see this mentioned in at least one other review before purchase but thought possible user error or just a random mistake but unfortunately, I was wrong :/ With a bit of tinkering were were able to do a work around by making the hole a bit bigger to align better with the other so that the screw could go through both pieces as needed. If it didnt pose an additional issue I might not have even reviewed or mentioned it but the misallignment also cuase the handlebars to be tough (too tough for a 2 year old and probably even a 3 year old) to steer freely. So instead of being able to ride and slightly correct her path to remain straight with even the slightest nudge is impossible for her. That being said she usually will have to stand and scoot the bike (pick up the front wheel) to reset her path. I am hoping that this will loosen up with use overtime. I will also say that if you are worried about cosmetic issues (we arent so.much) she has only ridden the bike 2 or 3 times (recieved oct 20th I believe) and as you can see in the photos the plastic on the handlebar is already damaged (and she is NOT rough on this bike) and there is paint already coming off in places. This is such a great concept for toddlers! This teaches balance while they play! If my kids had this before they were old enough to get a peddle bike, they would have hopped on their two-wheelers and taken off! The skill of balance is half the battle of learning to pedal. This would have saved me a lot of running behind them, holding them steady! This will make learning to ride a bike a breeze for your child. Comes in bright green or pink. We selected pink. This pink little girl's balance bike is sturdy and very well made. Any little girl will be delighted and mesmerized by its bright pink color and the big bubble gum pink wheels. This little bike is made without pedals for a learning tool, purposely to teach balance and to be used by kid power only. Comes unassembled but, it did come with the little tools to assemble in a flash. It can be adjusted for the size of your toddler.
