I've been in the market for a display dome w/wooden base for my red fox skull but can seem to find one wide enough (height no issue) and I didn't want to brake the bank. I came across this cake display dish, of course I read the dimensions all wrong. Width is great but it's not quite high as I want it but this is such a beautiful display case for really anything I figured for now it's perfect. Quality: Very good, this is not cheaply made. Glass is thick and heavy but not much. The wooden stand is beautiful. This cake stand is stunning. I made a 3 layer wedding cake for my nephew and his wife but the glass cover was not high enough. My layers were thick. I would love for the glass lid to rest in a groove so it did not move around. It is great quality. I know it will fit regular 2 layer cakes. I love the knob on the top.
