We use this filter system in our walk-in closet. What a difference it makes! I am 100% happy with the function and performance. What is bothering me is disposal of old filters. I feel horrible throwing these into the garbage. Why doesn’t the manufacturer, LEVOIT, make them returnable and refit them, reusing the major parts? I keep this in my small bedroom (approx 12' x 12') in a pet free house. These photos show new out of box filter (top) and the different layers at about 3mo's of use running on settings 2 or 3 during the weekdays and less on weekends. I don't know what the average lifespan of this filter is for most people, but I feel comfortable changing it every 3-4mo's. I believe somewhere in reading the catalogs/descriptions/etc, replacement was suggested at 6mo's. I may have an extra dusty house, I don't know... but I think the photos show that it's catching something! I don't visibly notice the decrease of dust, but I can say it helps with smells/odors like bacon grease/etc. Highly recommend. ... show more

I am a 100% Disabled Veteran with Lung cancer caused by Agent Orange. I am on oxygen 24/7 and anything that helps clean the air is for me. I have only had the device for less than a week but I am sure I can feel an improvement in my breathing. It is also cleaning the air for my concentrator and is also a big help. What is the job of a filter anyway? I could have sworn it was to filter. I knew within a few days that these filters were not up to par with my previous batch. I tried to give it time (month plus) with both filters tested but they don’t seem to filter anything. I have an in-door husky but could noticeably tell the difference in air quality and odor when using the original filters; these don’t help with air clarity or odor. Very disappointing. There’s no return, exchange, or refund option at this point but I would consider an exchange for a new pair so that I can compare quality. This could be a quality control issue but the amount of counterfeit items coming from Amazon is too high to ignore the possibility. ... show more

These are genuine Levoit filters. I emailed the company to ask where to buy actual Levoit filters and this is the link they sent. If your air purifier still has the change filter indicator on after installation, it's because you have to reset it by holding your finger on the indicator for several seconds, then it will turn off. ... show more

Works great. I don’t think it’s realistic to think you only need to change The filters once or twice a year. I would probably recommend quarterly. We recently adopted a cat, which I have never owned before. About a month into it, I realized I may be allergic. Too late to give her away because the kids are already in love. Bought my purifier 6 months ago and immediately found that my allergies were MUCH better. Just replaced the filter and couldn't believe all the dust that was in the old filter. So quiet and the little light that glows from the machine is a great night light. Not too bright...just right.
