This Level 2 EV charger is portable. It weighs just under 10 pounds (the vast majority of the weight is the 10 gauge 4 wire cable). It even includes a carrying bag. A wall mount cradle for the charger, a separate mount for the vehicle charging plug, and mounting hardware are also included. This charger requires an adapter to connect to Tesla vehicles. It will connect natively to any vehicle with a standard SAE J1772 socket. The cable from the charger to the J1772 plug is 25 feet long. The J1772 plug comes with a cover. The cable from the charger to the power source is 1 foot long and has a 14-50P plug on it. This EV charger can provide up to 40 amps of power to the vehicle. It is also capable of charging at lower rates (10 amps, 16 amps, 20 amps, 24 amps, or 32 amps). This is an especially useful feature, since the power source used may not be capable of delivering 40 amps (like a 30 amp dryer outlet) and you would blow the breaker if the charger were allowed to attempt to draw 40 amps. The amperage must be set prior to plugging the charger into the vehicle (the default is 40 amps). This EV charger has a delayed start feature. This allows the charger to postpone charging to a time where the power draw from EV charging would have less impact (like some localities charge less for power at night). The delay can be set for 1 to 12 hours. The EV charger has a 2.4" TFT display that shows charger temperature, it's operating status (ie. Charging), the amperage selected, the amount of time since charging started, energy consumption (in kilowatt hours), voltage being delivered real-time, current being delivered real-time, and power being delivered real-time. The EV charger also has a status LED that indicates the operating status (ie. charging, standing by, vehicle connected, vehicle fully charged, and fault conditions) by using color and flashing. The charger has a IP66 waterproof rating, which is important since the charger is portable and might be exposed to the elements. This model (EV-ACS4002U) is an upgrade from their EV-ACS4001U model. This model has a shorter cable between the charger and the 14-50P plug (1 foot shorter), a larger display (was 1.7" OLED, now 2.4" TFT), and the capability to draw power from a source as low as 110 volts (at 10 amps with an appropriate adapter). I used a VW ID.4 to test the charger. It worked without issue. I simulated a power fail. The charger retained the amperage setting. This is critical. If while charging at less than 40 amps the power was interrupted and then restored and the charger defaulted to 40 amps, the circuit's breaker would trip. In the test, I set the amperage at 24 amps. I then tripped the circuit's breaker. The charger powered off. I reset the breaker. Power was restored to the charger. The charger still showed 24 amps.     • Worked well for a month then the latch on the handle broke

The charger worked well for about a month until the latch on the handle stopped moving all the way up. Now we have to use a flat head screwdriver to disconnect.
