    • works well without app
This was my first Hydroponic system, but my daughter has a small 5 pod one that I have seen in action. One thing I noticed is the water circulation isn't as good as my daughter's system as this system just pumps water straight up into a fountain-ish head. My daughter's system pumps water to each pod basket. This keeps the sponges amply wet even when the water gets lower in the basin. I would worry that when the water gets lower in the LetPot system, the sponges would start drying out. This is the main reason I removed a star. The setup was very simple, as I had helped set my daughter's up, but the instructions that came with the system weren't super. For example, there was no instruction on how to setup the pump and that you should wrap the foam around the pump as a filter. This was the other reason for removing one star. I planted 3 kinds of lettuce, sage, oregano, dill, cilantro, and thyme. The lettuce came up quickly and is thriving. The others took much longer and the sage and cilantro never came up. The lettuce is going nuts though, which is great. I already harvested quite a bit off of the lettuce in late July and I planted these in late June. Being in Texas, I wouldn't be able to grow most of this in mid-summer, so it's nice to be able to and also not worry about deer eating my garden! I didn't install the app that's available, as I don't like installing apps for everything on my phone for security purposes. Everything still works, but you can't modify the light timing, so I'm stuck with the 12 hour time, but it is working well for what I have planted. The price of $80 is reasonable for this size system and I'm excited about having fresh lettuce and herbs available from this system. This hydroponic system is great for indoor gardening! It was easy to set up and the bright lights are perfect for growing plants. The lettuce is thriving, but some herbs took longer to grow or didn’t sprout at all. I didn’t use the app for control, but the system still works well with a fixed light schedule. My main concern is the water circulation; it seems like the sponges might dry out if the water level gets low. This hydroponics system makes growing your own food indoors a breeze. It comes with everything you need to get started. It was very easy to set up and my seeds grew with no issues. It's also really easy to clean when needed. The lights are nice and bright, so the plants have no trouble growing. I was able to get several harvests out of each of the plants. When you're done with a plant you just very easily pull it out and start again. It makes year-round indoor gardening possible. I highly recommend purchasing this. This system makes for a smart and efficient indoor garden. It features app and WiFi control, which is pretty neat! Love that it has a 24W full-spectrum grow light, which doesn't seem to need supplementation for non fruiting/flowering plants. This item arrived well packaged and undamaged. All of the materials needed were included in the package. The instruction manual, however, appears to be missing some important information. The first page detailing what is in the box does not mention the pump, pump cover, or the sponges that are required to be placed around it. The instructions show how to set up the rod in the back and connect the lighting panel and the power source, but does not show you how to place the pump into the tank and feed the wire out. I think this is a big oversight for someone who may not be familiar with hydroponic growing systems. I’ve used one before and was aware that sponges were needed around the pump, however, the sponges were sitting in the basin of the pod station, but the pump was outside of it. I think it would’ve been easy for someone to see the sponges that were sitting in the water tank and think that they were just packing material, especially since they weren’t included in the ‘what’s in the box’ section. This growing system contains 10 sponges and baskets with germination covers. I also like that they include shade covers if you are not using all 10 pod stations. This is a very nice feature as having those ports open can lead to algae and mold buildup. Another additional feature that I appreciate are the support rods that are included. This is nice when you are growing items, especially tomatoes, that may grow quickly if you don’t pay attention. One nice feature with the light panel is that you can switch between veggie and herbs or flowers and fruits. There is also a brightness setting that you can adjust, which is great when the plants transition from seedling and germination. There is a LetPot app you can download in order to set up a schedule for your growing station, but it appears that you can also just use this station manually without setting up the app. The instruction manual contains a couple pages of frequently asked questions and common issues to be aware of as well as gardening tips. Overall, I think this will be a nice growing system to use. There was a little bit of oversight with the initial set up instructions, but as someone who has used a system like this before, it was not an issue for us. One thing to be aware of is that it contains the sponges and baskets, but you will need to supply your own seeds. Again, I think this is a great option for someone who has used the system before and can tailor it to the plants they want to grow. ... show more

This thing is great! it is super easy to use and set up. The cleaning process is simple too as it lets you know when to refill as well. the instructions are clear and concise as to how to use the product. the app is nicely designed and pleasant to look at as well. if you are looking at getting one of these id recommended this product as it is more intuitive than others i have used. ... show more
