Very comfortable. Sitting for hours is not a problem in these chairs. Great height for kitchen island. My 83 year old father sits in these chairs all day - no complaints. I was worried that the base was not sturdy but it is. Moves across the floor easy if you have to slide in out from under the island. I love how easy the chairs are to put together and adjust the height of the chairs. I am 5 foot 4 inches and weigh 138 and the fit is perfect. My husband is 5 foot 9 inches and weighs 230 and he also likes them. My older in law's feel they are a bit too small in the seat area to feel comfortable on their backs but they are bar stools, so not really made to sit in for long periods of time anyway. I also like that the seat area is not as deep and they tuck in nicely around the bar hight table I have them at. The shipment came via the mail carrier so we needed to go to the post office to pick them up cause we have a PO Box and our mail carrier couldn't deliver them to our address since our small town doesn't have mail service to our homes but it was fine for us to pick them up at the bigger post office a hour from our small town since they are so nicely priced. I would recommend them to anyone that is looking for a nice looking and comfortable bar stool or breakfast counter chair. ... show more

Bought 2 chairs with arms and 2 without arms. Although they are nice looking, the seats and the backs on the chairs are small. They are also already top-heavy in comparison with the very lightweight bases (especially when raised to sit at the kitchen counter level). Add the weight of a person sitting on top, then it’s even more so. We’ve had them now for several months, and as we and guests have tried to get off of them they have fallen over multiple times and twice with people falling over along with the chair. ... show more

The chairs arrived in perfect condition. I think a lot of returns or complaints occur from poor packaging. These bar stools were very well packaged so no concerns there. When a manufacturer does a good job of packaging, that can set up the stage for a great product & I was not disappointed. Very happy with the stools & we have had great compliments from visitors today. The only thing to be aware of if you purchase these stools is the foot rest spins with the chair, so when you want to spin 180 to look behind you, you have to grab the counter to push yourself around, then grab something to stop if you going past the point you want to be. Our old stools had a 360 degree foot rest ring so your foot could touch the ring & spin where ever you want & effortlessly stop where you want. This isn't the chairs fault, just something I didn't think of before purchasing these stools. I am sure I'll get used to it. Otherwise no complaints. ... show more

I bought 1 set of 2 stools about a week ago and really liked them. They have a slight tilt forward when sitting but not an issue unless you’re going to sit in it all day for hours. They look great and were easy to set up at the time. I ordered two more sets of 2. The stools have 2 trunk pieces, one that has a rounded circle at the top which is supposed to line up and connect to the seat bottom with pre drilled screw holes. My recent packages for 4 additional stools have the wrong size trunk pieces, they are 5 inch rounds instead of 6 inch rounds, and the holes in the rounds do not line up to the pre drilled screw holes at all. I contacted the seller 2 days ago with no response yet... I don’t have a power drill and I don’t even know if it the wood of the seat would splinter if I did go buy a power to drill separate holes. So right now I have no way to put it together... hoping they respond my message and they can send the correct trunk pieces or at least I can return for full refund!! Will update the review if they do.... ... show more

I was looking for counter chairs for the new granite counter that I had installed during my kitchen remodel. I saw a great number of different styles but these chairs really fit my decor. The chairs were excellently packaged and were very easy to assemble. They appear to be sturdy and look very nice especially for the price. Just a hint for future purchasers, the assembly directions are under one of the (wrapped) bases of the chairs.
