I received it on time and it works well with the portable Tesla charger. You have to adjust the amp reading on the charger page of your Tesla down to the rating of your circuit breaker and the rated amps of this adapter, or you will blow a fuse. I don’t know what would happen to the adapter if you use excessive amps, but I expect it would overheat it. My electrician says to make sure the adapter is fully plugged in any time you are using it. He didn’t say why, but that was an important safety concern he had. So, having this in mind beforehand, using this product was great. ... show more

I needed an adapter that would correctly limit the amperage assuming a 30 amp circuit and this does the job exactly as I would expect. There are many counterfeits out there that will ignore the limit of a 30 amp circuit, but this one does a job perfectly.
