My initial review was only 3 stars, but after using this product I raised it to 5 stars. It got very warm when I first used it but after some use the warmth is now minimal. The new MacBooks no longer have USB ports so this product was necessary to plug my mouse into as well as other items that require a USB port to charge. It works very well. I have purchased multiple Lention adapters when I have purchased a new Macbook. The adapters are nicely looking and most of them are working fine so far. The Lention MultiReader I have purchased has started giving issue with HDMI cable and it has stopped working for HDMI. Other ports were working fine. I have contacted Lention Customer Service and provided my amazon order number. They have asked few photos to verify the claim and after sending those photos, they have responded very quickly that they are going to replace the adapter and within 2 days I have received a new one in my mailbox. I'm so impressed with the customer service they have provided. This type of customer service makes a big difference in customer satisfaction. ... show more

This Lention USB C Hub with 4K HDMI, 3 USB 3.0, SD/Micro SD Card Reader, compatible with my 2022 MacBook Air is so much easier to use than my previous single port USB C Hub. This one, with the short extension cord never blocks my MagSafe charging port, and it also does not work itself loose from my MacBook. Hub works great with my MacBook Pro. I can load photos, charge my phone, and use my mouse at the same time - I haven't tried the HDMI. The hub looks good, matches nicely, and the short cable makes for less worry about any kind of damage if you were to bump it. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Unfortunately, Amazon doesn't have an Amazon version of this adapter. I needed it for the card reader and multiple USB ports. Sometimes it works but more often it doesn't. It won't read my camera's memory card. I have a clicker that I use for presentations but it won't read that. I had to use a different adapter for my clicker. Plus, the HDMI port wasn't work. Is mine a lemon? I'm not sure because most of the other reviews are positive. Unless I can get this one exchanged, I can't say whether it is an issue with all adapters or just the one I have. For what it's worth, I use it with my MacBook Pro. So if you have a PC, perhaps you won't have issues. UPDATED REVIEW: Follow up...LENTION reached out to me promptly. I sent more information about the issue I was having to them. The adapter wasn't reading my camera's memory card. They sent another adapter out to me and this one works. I must have had a faulty adapter, originally. I truly appreciate the attention I was given to assure that a working product was in my hand. Now, I need to figure out how to change my rating. We bought this to connect our Denon receiver to our MacBook Air. The unit came in very nice packaging (is it just me, or does that signal quality to others?) and we were excited to use it but were distracted by our recent move so it took a while for that project to come to the top of our to-do list. Unfortunately, after days of tearing his hair out, my hubby learned thru much Googling that our particular Mac will not see hubs like this in the application for which we intended. By the time he figured this out, the 30-day window to return it to Amazon had closed (by just a couple days!). Luckily, inside the pretty packaging was a note that said Lention offers a 60-day "no hassles" return window so I contacted them. Their customer service REALLY wanted to help us to get the unit to work with our system, but it was impossible. Through no fault of the item itself, it simply isn't compatible with our specific Mac. At that point, they quickly refunded the full purchase price without issue. I cannot say enough about how much they wanted to make us happy.
