This is a good docking station. The PD pass through works great (when properly powered). No noticeable latency through HDMI, ethernet, usb peripherals. It stays cool. One minor note. I was issued a dell Latitude 5400 for work and I found that I couldn't get the VPN software supplied (Cisco AnyConnect) to connect while plugged into the dock. This was true whether or not I was trying to use ethernet. Strangely, I can connect to the VPN and once connected, plug into the dock and it doesn't break the connection. I had been able to connect to other VPNs (NordVPN) with a different laptop while docked, so it seems to be something about the combination of the Dell laptop, Cisco AnyConnect, and the dock. I'm noting this not because I think it is the fault of the dock, but in case someone else encounters this they have a possible resolution. ... show more

This is a good little docking station. I teach online, and I need multiple USB ports (I need at least 3 usb-3 ports) as well as an Ethernet port. This has done a great job so far. It is able to run my external camera, iPad as a second screen, my headphones, and my mouse. The Ethernet works well. OLD REVIEW: This dock works fine, if you aren’t using this on a 2020 MacBook Pro or air model. I thought this dock would have terminating proxies, nope! For those unaware, the 2020 air and pro models have usb issues where usb 2.0 devices will randomly disconnect throughout the day when plugged into a dock or hub. Imagine taking a test or quiz and all of a sudden..*disconnect*. This happens to me at least 10 times a day, sometimes more. That said, use this dock if you have a 2019 MacBook Pro or older; the usb issues aren’t in those models. As for the dock itself: Great packaging! The dock feels very high quality! I wish I could use this; I will have to return this unfortunately since this dock does not solve the usb disconnecting issues in the 2020 MacBook pros. UPDATE: Edit: Apple has since fixed this issue in the latest macOS Catalina 10.15.6 update. This dock will work just fine! They fixed the USB 2.0 device disconnecting problem. When I first received this product I was happy with everything but the thunderbolt wire would come in and out of my Mac a little too easily, causing some connectivity issues with certain devices. Customer service actually reached out to ME after I purchased the product to make sure I was happy with my purchase and I told them about my issue. I got a laptop stand so the laptop would be higher up. I use an external keyboard and mouse and a external monitor. I had a different docking station it did the samething but the cable from the docking station to the laptop was hard fixed and very short. So when i raised the laptop up the docking station would hang off. I tried using extension cables but the best i could get was so only some devices would work. So i got this docking station, it has a detachable USB-C cable to the laptop. the cable it comes with is plenty long. All my laptop devices work and the laptop charges. It cost 2x as much for a detachable cable that was long enough to use with my laptop stand. Not happy but its a money issue not a device issue. The device works fine. ... show more

I had pre-ordered the brand new M1 iMac in Rose Gold and was looking for a matching dock. Lention was the only brand I found that offered a functional dock in rose gold with pretty good reviews. My biggest concern was whether this would allow me to successfully connect my XP-Pen Artist 15.6 Pro to my iMac. This dock was PERFECT! The HDMI and USB port in the back allowed me to easily connect my iMac to my XP-Pen Display. At first, I got no signal to my XP-Pen, but it was my fault for plugging the USB-C cable into the wrong port on my iMac. Once I plugged my Lention dock it into the Thunderbolt port on my iMac, I immediately got signal and am now able to use my XP-Pen as a secondary display. Aside from the nice Rose Gold finish, the structure feels solid and the dock itself is very slim and compact, so it can be nestled right between my iMac and XP-Pen, preventing my setup from feeling bulky or cluttered. All in all, highly recommend especially if you're looking for an attractive dock to pair with the new iMac. ... show more

I bought this device to get more function from my laptop. Connected, I now have multiple peripheral options. Even better there was an Ethernet outlet. I am involved in many online meetings where I need a more stable ethernet connection. This device enables access to my ethernet hub. My laptop's maker has a couple of similar options for three times the cost. Aside from extra cost, those don't have as many connection options nor the variety. This device is very compact for the space I have and sits horizontally or vertically. It's portable enough to carry with my laptop in travel and it's power cord easily reaches my external power source. So far everything is working great.
