I wasn't sure what to expect with the Lenovo Legion T5 Gen 8, as I haven't always had the best experience with Lenovo products in the past. But I have to say, I'm very impressed! If I could give PCOnline 10 stars I would. I was skeptical at first because this is such a powerful machine at such a great price. Too good to be true, right? It came with a keyboard and mouse just as described. I was surprised because they are not cheap anybrand devices as I expected but good, Lenovo products all in the original packaging. About the computer--wow. It is exactly as the specs describe. I only had a few issues which were not PCOnline's fault: 1) Do not uninstall McAfee antivirus--I did this and the Windows Key and Search stopped working, I couldn't get to Settings -- I had to do a System Restore by holding Shift and pressing Restart from the Ctrl-Alt-Delete screen. McAfee is just an evil company that will break your computer if you uninstall their "antivirus software". 2) The 2nd disk drive, the HDD, did not show up originally in the My Computer section of Windows Explorer. I thought I got scammed but it did appear in Speccy. To fix this: You need to assign the second hard drive a drive letter -- search "Create and format hard disk partitions" -- right-click the "New Volume", pick "Change Drive Letter and Paths" and then pick a letter, any letter D-Z Otherwise it won't show up in Windows Explorer -- it will show up in Speccy and elswhere but you won't be able to use it to store files until you assign it a drive letter. 3) Run Windows Update as soon as you can. This is a factory new machine but it has been sitting in the box for a while so some of the critical apps are out-of-date. All minor issues, none of which can be attributed to PCOnline. When I bought this PC it looked like a great game playing PC. It started out ok until I used Discord with my game. I noticed that my PC was freezing up. I called a friend to help me and they found out that the intel i7 was only a 2.5 Ghz SPEED! Yes it has a great video but no SPEED! If it wasn't so long I would send it back to get a PC with i7 @ 4-5 Ghz. Pay attention on good prices! If I knew it was easy I would purchase a better CPU chip. ... show more

My old Lenovo was experiencing problems and I had researched this for my nephew months before. I was blown away with the specs vs price. This works fantastic so far, no complaints. I can't say anything about gaming as I don't use it for that. But for the money, I think it is a great buy. Amazing graphics 3070 card 64 GB ram 2TB SSD 8TB HDD i711700 great cooling system only complaint I have is it could use more usb ports . update: dont listen to the other review saying this CPU (intel i7 11th gen) is only 2.5 ghz its listed as that but if you do your research on this processor and look up the true specs, and even monitor it on the lenovo vantage app the pc comes with , you can easily see this processor hit speeds of 4.5 ghz very easily and consistently. Update : changed review to 4 from 5 stars . Just realized pc came with 400 w power supply and it has a 3070 graphics card which requires a 650 w power supply . i noticed it had two extra connections for cooling fans on the motherboard for the top of the case, which i added for extra cooling .my only gripe. but still great performance for the price and is still doing great a year later. just to let everyone know. ... show more

    • Very quiet!
So I really like how the cooling is set up, as well as how very quiet this computer is. It is just what I needed ( minus the OS ) I immediately wiped Windows 11 from this and installed Linux Mint, because.. well yeah I am "done" with Windows, as it is such a resource hog and doesn't allow me to maintain updates when I want or need to. If you are installing another OZ, be aware this computer attempts to lock that out in the bios ( looks like it is Windows 11 garbage ) You'll need to go into the BIOS and allow another OS. I would love to see some more OS options other than Windows, but it is what it is. The hardware of this system was just what I needed though. :) ... show more
