Description

Upgrade your food processing routine with a LEM Products 22 BigBite Meat Grinder, a powerful grinder perfect for hunters, food processors, chefs, and culinary enthusiasts who desire to make their own foods. The BigBite technology allows the auger to grab hefty "bites" of meat from the pan and draws them through the large-diameter throat, where the rifled head quickly feeds them through the grinder, providing faster and more efficient grinding. The grinder includes a stainless steel knife, head, auger, large meat pan, coarse and fine plates, stuffing plate, 3 stuffing tubes, and a plastic meat stomper. A storage drawer is located beneath the grinder head for plates and accessories for added convenience. Our Meat Grinder is easy to use and also boasts a noise-dampening design for quieter performance. Whether you're looking to make better quality chilis, burgers, sausages, or even create a raw diet for your pet without unnecessary fillers, this grinder allows you to process a wide range of meats, including beef, pork, lamb, mutton, venison, and deer. The 22 BigBite Grinder can also process chicken bones. Our professional-grade grinders are easy to use, easy to clean, and considerably quieter than other electric meat grinders.

  • BEAST!
Style: Grinder Size: #22
This thing is heavy, but it is surprisingly easy to maneuver and carry. I store it in my pantry on a steel shelf. It requires a shelf 24" high and dwarfs my other appliances, including dehydrator and toaster oven. Today, I ground 100# of meat. Preparing the meat to fit into the hopper takes much longer than the actual grinding. If it fits down the chute, the beast handles it just great. No clogs, no slow down, no uneven grind. It ground up chicken leg and thigh bones like they were butter. I preserved beef bottom round and chicken quarters. They were mostly thawed in the refrigerator, having removed them from the freezer days earlier. Initially, I put the blade on backward, and I managed to jam the retaining ring so I was unable to get it off to fix it. My husband had to come and rig up some kind of thing in the shop to loosen it so I could start over. Fortunately, the machine stalled, and no damage was done. Putting it together is simple once you've done it. A little instruction would help. The diagram is nice but not clear enough to really prevent missteps such as the one I made. The you-tube video made it clear, but that was after the fact, in my case. It disassembled easily, and cleaned up nicely. I put a little food grade mineral oil on it and put it back into the pantry until next time. I'm using it for RAW diet dog food, but plan to use it for venison next Fall. Awesome machine. Extremely well made. Very quiet. I also bought the foot pedal, and I am so glad I did. I would have made a greasy mess trying to shut it off again and again. I got a real bargain on it from Amazon ($399.99) for the #22 Big Bite! WOW!!!! ... show more

  • Perfect for my raw food dog food.
Style: Grinder Size: #22
I recently started making my own dog food. I decided that I needed to purchase a meat grinder and I wanted to make sure I didn't have to purchase again. This was a big big item purchase for me. I have only used it once so far. It was very efficient and I knew as soon as I used it I had made the right choice. I was able to grind chicken thighs and drumsticks with ease. They went through like butter. The machine is very easy to use and clean. I will be buying my meats in bulk and more than likely using once a month for my dogs raw food diet. I also think I will start doing my own grinding for myself and family. I am even considering making home made sausage. This is a very powerful machine and I expect it will give me many years of use. Now I just need to find a cover for storage. I highly recommend this grinder for anyone who feeds raw and wants to include bones. ... show more

  • Powerful and fast
Style: Grinder Size: #22
I make 120 batches of homemade dog food. I started with the Kitchen Aid grinder kit, then the STX Turboforce 3000 (that broke on the first batch), then the Weston #12 (too slow for me) and ended up here with this machine. Coincidentally I just made my first batch of raw food which contains chicken thigh quarters, chicken organ meat, frozen vegetables and brown rice. I fed some of the leg quarters in cut apart into two pieces. Some I just cut in at the joint, straightened them and fed the whole thing in. The LEM #22 grabbed hold of them, ground them and spit them out the front (large grinding plate) with no sign of bogging down. This is an expensive piece of equipment, but if you're making batches the size of mine every two weeks, you need something with at least this much power. It cut my batch time from four hours to two. The storage drawer holds all the spare plates and auger puller. The only negative I can add is that I wish there was a grinding plate with larger openings, as I don't like the the size of vegetable grind that comes out with the largest plate. Other machines I've used had that component. It's also REALLY heavy, but that comes with the turf. ... show more

  • Really really good product
Style: Grinder Size: #22
Man, am I happy with this #22 1 hp grinder!! Shot me a huge buffalo last week, and my wife and I just finished 4 grueling days of processing the entire beast in our kitchen. I would estimate that we ground at least 200 lbs of meat, and this machine worked like a champ. No clogs, no shutdowns, it didn't even slow down once. I think you could grind rocks with this thing....... One big note - the instructions are highly inaccurate. There is no auger bushing to be installed, no part J, you can ignore most of page 8, etc. Attention LEM: you need to update your owner's manual. ... show more

  • THIS is the powerful game meat grinder you are looking for!
Style: Grinder Size: #22
My husband has been searching for a grinder that will ACTUALLY grind deer meat for use in sausage, summer sausage, jerky, chili soups. The last grinder I bought him had the same horsepower / watts as this one, but clogged, whined and generally didn't do a great job for game meat. He says he LOVES this grinder. Its fast, powerful, quiet and cleans up easy. His first adventure was grinding 4 deer hams and 4 shoulders in under an hour. No clogging or groaning - and those were large chunks, including tendons (he had only removed the bones). He's been bragging to all his hunting buddies. He says it's perfect for grinding quantities of deer, duck and elk at home. And so, it is. ... show more

  • This machine just shouts QUALITY
Style: Grinder Size: #22
The quality of this machine is outstanding. It is apparent from the first use that the Bean Counters had very little to say about the design and construction. Everything is heavy duty, the big retaining ring holding the cutting blade and the thingie with the holes (sorry for the technical talk there πŸ˜€) just spins on when you give it a twist. Everything is either stainless steel or nickel plated, and the power is such that it will grind up a whole chicken in about 60 seconds, bones and all, once you cut it up into pieces small enough to go into the three-inch diameter feed tube. My only complaint was probably caused by some Federal safety law, where they had to put a guard over the feed tube to prevent idiots from sticking their hand all the way down the tube into the augur. My hands are big enough I couldn't do it if I tried, and it took about a minute with an angle grinder to remove the ridiculous guard. This is a serious piece of equipment, and I recommend it highly. ... show more
