To maintain luster, polish with water and a mild acid, like vinegar or lemon juice. Dishwasher safe, but to maintain the visibility of interior measurement lines, handwashing is best. Stainless steel requires no special handling, unlike cast iron, pure copperware, enameled and nonstick clad cookware.

Legend 5 Ply 14 pc All Stainless-Steel Heavy Pots & Pans Set are indeed a cook's dream come true. We've put these pots and pans through their paces. We’ve fried elk bacon and shredded potatoes with cheese, a pot of pozole rojo, Caramel topping for a cake, and browned a pork loin then baked it – going from stovetop to oven, and many more everyday meals from eggs and pancakes, grilled cheese sandwiches, to baked beets. Everything cooks to perfection with the even heating. We have an induction cooktop, and the Legend pots and pans work perfectly with their flat bottoms and being 5-ply stainless steel heat evenly with the fast results one expects. They also go from stovetop to oven to table with ease. For each of the items I cooked and photographed, a person would expect severe issues for clean-up; but these pots and pans look like new with minimal effort. When there has been a sticky, gooey, or fried/baked-on crust, I’ve had to rinse the pan thoroughly and let it sit in hot water for a short time – the mess is then easily removed with a soft, no-scratch scrubbing pad. They come out of the dishwasher looking like new – sparkling and shiny. We have severely hard water, and the only time I’ve experienced any spotting issue is when the water from that faucet is used – the fix is easy, though it may be considered non-conventional. I use Lime Away. I spray a little Lime Away in the cool pan, wipe with a paper towel, then rinse well and put the pan in the dishwasher. The pot/pan comes out of the dishwasher perfect once again. When you buy Legend Cookware, you’re purchasing an investment for your kitchen, so you’ll want to take special care of your pots and pans to keep them looking their best, such as putting something between them (a silicone mat or a soft cloth of some sort) if you’re stacking them. Use silicone or wooden utensils to avoid scratches. Other than that, nothing special must be done to have an incredible cooking experience. Buying these pots and pans has taken my enjoyment of cooking and turned it into a passion.     • Best affordable option for stainless cookware
Background: We used to have good quality nonstick fryer pan set in our kitchen, I told my wife I will purchase a new set of stainless cookware if you threw away all those toxic dangerous fryer pans covered with synthetic chemical combination of carbon and fluorine atoms that puts on risk our health. She said, I will do it when you get one of those expensive stainless set for me. Then I started to investigate brands and cost, I almost regret my words after I saw how expensive a good stainless cookware set can be but I was already committed to get it, these cookware sets were around the 1,700 dollars or more, designed and also manufactured in America. I saw no other option but to make my word worth and make the expense, I was lucky I found this Legend Cookware set for a very affordable cost in comparison to other American brands. What I liked is that Legend designs their products in America, at least this is what they claim for, that means product specification, materials and tests are conducted here in USA and after results are achieved then the product specs are sent to other countries to reduce the manufacturing expenses and this is how you get a great quality product at a cheaper cost for consumers. After 2 months using this set, my wife loves it, I love it to the point to weak up and prepare the breakfast for my family since this is really easy to cook on it. Cooking: Cooking is different when you use a stainless cookware, all you need to do is to properly heat your pan before you dump any food in it. This may take 2 minutes, then reduce the temperature and you are ready to cook. Non-toxic nonstick layer is naturally created when the pores in the metal are closed due to heat expansion, then you will have a safe nonstick layer. Cleaning: Super easy, just use a soft sponge and kitchen soap, you will not need to use any hard kitchen utensil to removed stuck food once you learn how to cook on it, cause you won’t have stuck food on it. Cost benefit: This is the best part, you will get this Legend cookware set for a third of the cost when comparing it with a stainless cookware set designed and manufactured in USA. Warranty: What? Lifetime warranty? OMG, this set is a no brainer purchase. One of my pans came with a very small quality issue, I got in contact with customer service to report it, they sent a new set to me at no cost, they really honor they warranty promise. Summary, If you want a non-toxic stainless steel cookware set, just get it, this is the primary reason why I switch from conventional to stainless. I purchased this set on Sept. 20th and have had ample time to use them before writing this review. I have waited a long time to get a set of these multi-ply pots and pans, mainly due to the price and being too cheap to spend the money. I wish I hadn’t waited! This set is wonderful! Cooks evenly and on lower heat settings. I use a gas stove and these are perfect for it. I highly recommend them. Also, don’t forget these come with a lifetime warranty!! The only thing I will add is that if you’re a big egg eater, you will want to get the set of two hard anodized fry pans as the eggs will stick to the stainless steel. But if you read about them, they are upfront about this as it’s just the nature of the steel with eggs. I have cooked everything from cream of wheat for breakfast to fish for dinner and have had no issues with sticking, burning or messy cleanup. Do yourself a favor and get a set. ... show more
