    • Nice night vision googles.
I have 3 acres with lots of animal activity at night. I got these night vision googles to see what was actually happening and who was causing the damage. The image is grainy but that is expected since it is amplifying the light. Even with the image being grainy, I can identify the critters in the yard. My house sits in the middle of my property so I have about 300 ft to the back and 300 ft to the road. I have no problems seeing that distance with the googles. The controls on top are easy to use but at first they are difficult to remember which button does the thing that you want. After practice, it gets easier and I am pleased with the googles. I like that there are no replaceable batteries but the unit is rechargeable. The instruction manual is helpful and written well. It is well made with quality materials.     • Disappointed. UPDATE
This item was Delivered very fast and the box was not banged up by the process. (it usually is by Amazon Drivers.) The UPDATE is that after some time with this item I have found some functions that help alot with the imaging. It is still not what I had thought but better then my initial review. One thing that was worse was the rubber on the end of the view screen will not stay on. Was a minor concern but now really pisses me off some. Just annoying having to block light with hand or other thing. End of UPDATE Excited because I had been waiting for a long time for enough money to buy one of these I immediately took to tearing through the box to get to the toy. Upon 1st seeing the item I was thrilled by the really cool look of it but disappointed in its size or esp. glass/screen size. I did not realize 3" was so small. I was under a different assumption. But the build and design of this bino/camera is just really creative and thought through. Horrah(sp) to the design team. The rubber that goes over the viewing screen was coming off but no big deal just a mention here. Otherwise the packaging was outstanding. There was everything included in the box to get it running very quickly. They recommend charging 4 hrs. I was in a situation where I had to use it within an hour of the 1st charge and it worked well. Plus it runs while you are charging which is a very nice addition. I had never had that ability in previous devices like this one. My biggest upset was unfortunately where I needed the device to shine and be better then expected. The night-vision viewing of either an image or video. Its quality is simply terrible. Even tonight when I needed this device to monitor unexpected and unknown visitors at our business work facility, this scored a 1. It really honestly would be about useless if an effort to I.D. these people should become needed. Which is the whole reason for my needing to buy it in the first place. I give it 3 Stars because many features I had not the chance or opportunity to use yet and I will leave and end the review believing better of the product then just rejecting it all. Oh, I wish this items price reflected its abilities. Anything more then 80 dollars is to much. Other Reviews let me down. I full hearted believe in those Posts but they failed me here.     • Very nice video night vision
Ordered these to observe objects outside on my property at night. I have been noticing things moved on my property at night when it is very dark. I was attempting to use trail cams to see what was coming on my property at moving things. When the trail cams didn't pick any thing up I decided to get a set of night vision. These night vision viewers have a very high amplitude rate of increasing the amount of light in the dark. My only concern is the lost of night vision to my eyes when I put the goggles down.     • The price reflects the quality
Though I have used low-light cameras and binoculars, I have never used night vision binoculars before. This Leader set is a high-quality instrument. Using it is simple and a helpful manual is included. There are easily accessible controls for the level of Infrared (IR) light, focus and even a zoom ring of 10x optical strength. I never use digital zooms, as the quality is always inferior. Looking through the binoculars at night is an eerie experience, as the image is grainy and orange-ish. Nevertheless, moving objects can be seen fairly well. We have a group of feral cats that roam the backyard, along with the occasional raccoon. I was able to see and identify the cats. But the live image is certainly not as sharp as that shown in the photos on the Amazon product page. One flaw in the design is that the topmost controls including a power switch are not luminescent. The symbols for each are black on top of black buttons. so even in lighted conditions they are hard to see. Until you've used the binoculars for a while it can be difficult to remember which button does what. I wish the manufacturer did better with visual and or haptic cues for the controls. On the upside the binoculars come with a full set of accessories, including a USB charging cable, all of which fit into a hard-sided case with the binoculars. I was impressed with the case. In addition, the binoculars can capture still images and even video on a small 32 GB microSD (TF) memory card, which is included. The card is even held in its own plastic case. Storing images is a great advantage when needing proof of animals -- or people -- roaming your property. I would say that a lot of thought went into the design and packaging of these binoculars. A warranty card and customer support information is provided, something many manufacturers and sellers neglect. I hope that the next version includes either glow-in-the-dark buttons or better touch controls. If it does, I would readily award these binoculars 5 stars. ... show more

    • Very Impressive
I am impressed at how well these actually work. It took a little getting used to it, and a little adjusting to get the hang of it, but these night vision glasses really do work well. I am enjoying seeing things I didn't know were out at night.
