    • Good deal for two emergency lamps

Just ordered less than 36 hrs ago in response to some recent power outages and they already arrived! Comparing these to a very similar looking single lamp that we also ordered that cost $89.99 (also on Amazon). The more expensive lamp had lower brightness (1000 lumens) but a much larger battery capacity (12,000mAh battery). This pair, supposedly has 1800 lumens (each) and more significantly cost only $23 each (compared to the other one at $89.99)! Battery capacity is only rated at 4400mAh (each) although you still get up to 12 hrs of light on a charge (the other more expensive one claims 340hrs on dimmest setting although I have not yet tested it on bright). Both types can be used as power banks for phones etc using the appropriate USB cord to charge your device (a real nice feature BTW). This less expensive pair does not have the continuously flashing red light that cannot be turned off on the more expensive one, so we prefer the less expensive ones to leave in rooms where the flashing light might be a bother (the more expensive lamp flashes red every 5 seconds and you cannot turn it off with the intent that it helps you to find it in the dark and so you can tell there is at least some charge in the battery). We are keeping both (the more expensive one and the cheaper pair) at this time due to the much longer potential battery life on the expensive one, but the economy of the cheaper ones and the fact that the cheaper ones do not continuously flash every 5 seconds make them a great buy for the price. The cheap pair must be quite popular however, as the price for the pair just went up $8.24 since I just bought them less than two days ago, lol. Over all, I am very pleased with the pair. Build quality seems just a little bit cheaper compared to the expensive one, but not by much at all (I would expect much more of a difference given one is $90 vs. $23). The major cost is of course the battery capacity but it does not take much to keep a LED lit. It might be worth the extra expense if you do not have a power bank for your phone, but you can get much higher capacity dedicated power banks for much less than $90. May update this review in the future depending upon the reliability of the pair though. ... show more

I have tried other rechargeable work lights and none compare with these. The brightest setting will light up an entire room. I borrowed these from a friend and after using them I bought a set of my own. Great for working, camping or anywhere you need light and don't have electricity.

I purchased a two pack. One of the two was broken during shipping, but the manufacturer shipped me a single ASAP. Used them on a week long trip every night, were quick to charge and provided light as long as needed, several hours per night. Lightweight and rugged. several modes for the type of light needed, as well as dim-able. Suggestion: find a way to secure the charging cord in the lantern. We don't want to just have a charging cord laying loose, wondering where it is when needed or wondering what that cord is for when not needed. ... show more

I've tried many of the various similar rechargeable lanterns sold on Amazon and this is the best... It's by far the brightest and seems to hold the charge very well. You need to be sure to recharge it every month regardless of it being used or not.

Exactly as described. Comes with a rechargeable battery already installed. Charge it with the included USB charge cable and wait for the light to turn green before use. It has various intensities and one is a very bright white light and exactly what I was looking for in a small portable light.
