I use these lanterns for both camping and ice fishing. There’s so much to like about these lanterns. Firstly, they are inexpensive, but also very bright and seem to be fairly good quality. I love that they can be charged using the rechargeable battery, or use disposable batteries. It’s nice to have the option to save money on batteries by charging, but also have the option to use disposable batteries if needed, like when camping and you can’t recharge them. They’re very versatile. You can hang them from the folding hook on the botttom, sit them upright on a table, use the magnet under the hood of your vehicle, or prop it up with the metal stand. It also has a radiant 360° light, as well as a light on top to point downward when hanging. They designed these lanterns to have so many uses. I like that they are also small and lightweight, so they are easy to pack.     • Nice size, plenty of light!
I love the performance of the unit but one of the reasons that I bought it was that it is a hybrid lamp. There is one large rechargeable battery in the battery compartment which is removable and can be replaced with three AA batteries. I especially like this since the rechargeable battery is only good for about two hours and well, you never know what a situation might present. A good addition to my flashlight/lantern supply which puts out 300 lumens and is easy to hang in two ways, a hook and the handles that rotate upward when the main light is opened. These are fantastic lanterns! So many features and ways to use them. They come with a rechargeable battery, but you can also use regular batteries if you like. Light is very bright, but you can control that by how open you set it, has red emergency lights and SOS flashers and different ways you can hang and hold it, and magnets on the bottom to hold it tight on a metal surface. Two of the four wouldn't hold a charge, but exchanging for another set was quick and easy and all four worked fine. I live in hurricane country and I highly recommend these. ... show more

    • Bright at first, but dimmer in successful charges.
Out of the box, they last long and are really bright. But take a while to charge and don't get as bright in successful charges. They work, are easy to charge and handle, and are good value. Just don;t last as long now as I'd like. Also when I charge, can't tell if the "ready" light is green or yellow, so always have to leave them to charge an extra long time. ... show more

These are small but mighty! SO bright and very convenient! I love the different options for lighting, as a lantern, flashlight or emergency flashing light! I also love the options for hanging the light, prop up with a “kickstand”, stand up regularly or it also has magnets on the bottom to attach to some metal surfaces. Highly recommend! ... show more

Great value and work perfectly for campsites or around the house and backyard. The magnets in the base are handy to attach to metal surfaces, and the handles and rope hook are equally versatile. I find the charging to take a little longer than I like through the lantern so I just charge the individual batteries in my Cloud Defensive Li-Ion charger and it works great. I really like the dual-fuel aspect too. The red strobe is not very bright or useful but it's a nice extra. ... show more

super bright but can be adjusted. Super strong magnet and hanging hooks for camping or stick to refrigerator for power outages. great value and quality. I saw individual ones cheap quality for more. compact and light. does take a long time to charge be prepared to leave it overnight

I paid $20 for a 4-pack in 2024, so keep that in mind. For $5 a pop, these are a fantastic deal for a NON-heavy duty, indoor, non-adjustable light source. Tghe Streamlight Seige is a superior product, however it would get expensive to have a bunch all over the house and/or as hand outs. PROS - other than price is the INCLUDED 18650 battery. The 18650s are Chinese made so we'll see how they hold up. The 18650 is also removable! So dead batteries can be quickly swapped. Will also run on AA. The light is very bright (also a CON). Easy to operate, as you just pull it open. Handles, hooks and magnets put it where you want. CONS - Brightness not adjustable. It's on or off. It's bright. So you have to keep opening and closing them vs. being able to adjust it to low. NOT waterproof. I would not take these outside. Again, $5/ea. ... show more
