I bought this for a camping trip I was going on over the weekend. The temperature during the day was close to 90F and the night was in the mid 60s. The fan really helped to cool me down after setting up camp. Being able to set it on a table and have it blowing on me was a life saver. I also hung it up in my tent and had it right above my head and the fan worked great. I only used the light for a few minutes but it seemed to work well too. This lantern is what I've been looking for for years. There are many products out there that are similar but don't quite have it all together. This one is the perfect combination of all the features one needs from a device you'll be relying on in the middle of the woods. The LED light can be super bright or make a nice nightlight. The fan is powerful enough to keep the air in my 10-person tent from getting stagnant. But what I truly love about the device is the thought that went into its shape. It can easily be hung from a loop at the top of most tents. Once it's hung, it's light and fan are easy to turn on or off. The light illuminates a large area, making it feel like indoor ceiling lighting. Meanwhile, the fan is essentially a portable ceiling fan, making things more comfortable. The only thing missing is a rechargeable feature. Batteries are fine, but they can die at the worst time. A rechargeable battery option would make great backup power and could be charged in a car. Bought this for tent camping. Hung it in the center of a small tent for getting away. Circulated enough air to keep it from feeling stale inside. The light is very bright and good for reading/whatever while inside. The battery life isn't great if you use the full speed fan but it will last all night one night. The second night it did seem a little weaker but still lasted. Might be worth looking at rechargable batteries and a solar charger for extended trips, but moves quite a bit of air. ... show more
