  • Just the right size for little hands
So I have the Learning Resources Kitchen Set, and have been giving my toddler bits and pieces of it as she seems ready. However, when I found this New Sprouts line from the same maker, I bought it...and I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. The pot is fairly large, almost the size of an actual small sauce pot, and the frying pan is spacious enough to fit the New Sprouts "steak" from the dinner basket. (If you don't have the New Sprouts food line, let me just say that you could fit a Costco bagel into the frying pan, it's THAT wide, and a real orange could fit into the pot and get covered). The colander fits nicely into the pot, and the cooking utensils that come with the set are large enough to not present a choking hazard if teethed on. I can't see any parts of this toy breaking off - it seems to be fairly sturdy, and well worth the price. Sure, there aren't a lot of pieces to it, but the quality is outstanding (IMHO, it surpasses the Kitchen Set, and makes up for quality what it doesn't have in quantity). I -- and my daughter -- especially like that it holds the play foods in it! All too often there are pots/dishes that are waaaaay too small for the foods (and Learning Resources is guilty of this, we can barely fit some of the play foods from the New Sprouts line into the aforementioned Kitchen Set) but this line seems to go together nicely. I will definitely be buying more from the New Sprouts line, for my daughter and all my friends' children who have upcoming celebrations! ... show more

  • BEST OFFERED ON THE MARKET TODAY!
Learning Resources manufactures their toys and food items like a grandma would if she could! Everything is the perfect size for children and the material they use is top notch. The colors are beautiful and bright and the set is so well made. The play food is great and is perfectly sized for all of their sets. ... show more

  • Very good for toddlers!
Purchased for a classroom of 2 year olds. Perfect size for small hands, sturdy enough for use by multiple children per day. Probably will purchase again for other classrooms when needed.

  • colourful and big
I got these after much consideration and contemplation. There are so many in the market and I didn't want to end up buying something I would regret. This is a good set. I got it for my 17 months twins. This is the first cooking set they own. They loved it from the moment we received it. It is colourful and big enough to put in the learning resources food I got from the dinner and breakfast basket. The pot and lid and the saucepan are very good. The colander is absolutely brilliant. The toys are made from plastic but it is quite sturdy and it doesn't not give a cheap flimsy look. The quality is good. My only wish is that the cooking cutlery provided were a little bigger. But overall a really good purchase. Will buy it again if I need to. ... show more

  • very nice little set
I liked this set firstly because it wasn't some huge set with 20 peices. My 2 year old son loves pretending to cook but he dosent need 3 pans 2 pots etc etc to be able to play. When I received the set I was very happy with it. Yes the handle on the pan is short but its perfect for little hands. And the pot is deep enough that you can put a good amount of food in it and still put the lid on. The green bottom part of the pot and pan have asslightly rubberized texture so they grip the surface its placed on which I thought was a nice touch. ... show more

  • Colorful, made well
Great colorful gift. My one year old granddaughter flipped when she opened it. The only “drawback” is the spoon and fork. My granddaughter is not old enough to walk around holding them. We just hid them from her until she is older. You may want to consider that before purchasing. Incidentally my three year old granddaughter wants a set just like it for herself. ... show more

  • Great
It’s a really nice cooking set for kids, the only thing is the handle from the pan could be little bit longer.

  • Definitely one of the best sets out there for little ones.
Bought this set for my grand nieces to go with their Christmas kitchen set. After reading reviews of wooden sets that chip paint, metal sets that bend, and other thinner plastic sets that crack, this set seemed like the best. bet. The colors are bright, the material is sturdy and easy to grip and I expect will be very durable. They love it, and use it along with the New Sprouts Serve it! Dish set. Definitely recommend. ... show more
