We have looked at many different kitchens. We wanted one that was well made, grow with our child, good storage, and realistic. We are so glad we went with this one. This kitchen is very sturdy and does take about 2 hours to assemble, but well worth it. It has space on the shelves that’s actually usable for storage. Certain things make noises which are awesome. The only negative thing we could say is we wish more of the “buttons” were actually buttons and made noise vs a sticker. With imagination though, all good. SO CUTE. Okay, first of all, I researched play kitchens so about 3 months before I finally chose this one. As a kid myself, my play kitchen was my absolute favorite toy, so I wanted to find the right one! I noticed the plastic kitchen LOOKED like they had storage, but inside the cabinets, they were so shallow barely anything actually fit. So I started looking into the wood ones. Kidkraft came up as one of the best reviewed brands. I found this kitchen in the original mocha, and loved the kitchen, but wasn’t a fan of the brown. I found that amazon had an exclusive white version, and was instantly in love! Now I confess, when the kitchen got delivered and I saw how small the box was, my first thought was “oh s***”! I had been warned from other reviewers that the building process was long, and boy was it! It took me a solid 4 hours by myself. Overall though, the building part wasn’t too complicated if you follow instructions. There is only one major flaw with the instructions, and it’s regarding labeling of the screws (which is read in someone else’s review as well). All the parts where nicely labeled by letter. However, a few of the letters there were two compartments of (and now next to each other either). For example, there were two “L” compartments. They were the same screw, but one compartment they were all silver, and the other the screw heads were painted white. Now, I get this is probably because the white head screws are meant to end up on the outside parts that will show, but let me tell you, as you are putting this together (and it has over 45+ parts!) for the most part, you have no idea which sides and parts will end up on the outside. So mostly, I guessed. Some screws I ended up going back and switching out once I saw where it’d end up. But basically, the instructions need to distinguish between the two different versions of painted or non painted screws in the directions. Otherwise, they were pretty straightforward. And it was worth it! This kitchen is so cute and sturdy! And I love that it fits in the corner! The noises for the stovetop and ice maker are adorable! I only wish that the microwave also made sound! The storage in this kitchen is WONDERFUL! We don’t need extra storage for play food, as it actually fits! I’m excited for my daughter to enjoy this kitchen for years to come! ... show more

Got it for my girl when she was 4 now she’s 5 and we’ve had it for almost a year in her play room and it’s played with daily. It has held up wonderfully compared to some reviews I read before I purchased it last year. Nothing was wrong with the packaging, all parts were there and unblemished. It did take a hot minute to assemble but instructions are decent. Was worried it would be too small for her but even as a 5 year old it’s perfect. I may add 3 to 5 inches of platform under it next year but it’s been great! 10/10 ... show more

First off: this took me 3 hours to build. It was really testing my patience for building a toy. Be prepared to be slightly frustrated. Also it would be worth it to buy an electric screwdriver (or a drill on low torque). Okay so now that I’ve said that, this is simply the highest quality play kitchen I think you can buy. Hands down. All the pieces were machined perfectly. I thought while building it that something wouldn’t line up correctly in the end but I was wrong. It was perfect. The only thing I think would be nice would be microwave buttons that beep and can be pressed. Other than that, this is the best kitchen and I’m sold on buying other items from KidKraft in the future. Lastly, my daughter LOVES it. She is constantly “cooking” something for us to eat and I think that it has helped foster a good interest in cooking for her. She always wants to be involved in cooking at dinner time now. I wish I had this when I was a kid. ... show more

What I loved! 1. Instructions were easy to follow 2. Looks beautiful and everything worked as described. 3. Fits perfectly in the corner of a play room. What I didn’t care for. 1. Assembly was difficult at times; I stripped out a few screws. Took me hours to assemble.

The media could not be loaded. This took around 2 1/2 - 3 hours for two very handy women to build. It’s so sturdy and great quality! Definitely worth the money. My 3 year old twins fit perfectly in it together. They use the curtained window to play restaurant/ customer. Picture shows size for average newly 3 year old. They wanted a pink kitchen but all the pink ones looked cheap so I improvised. It is rather dark, so we added a light above the sink. Absolutely recommend!! ... show more

A friend of mine had his play kitchen for her kids and my littlest absolutely loved and had a blast on it. So I finally pulled the plug and bought it. Reading all the reviews says it takes a while to put it together so I had two friends come over. We hustled through it and helped each other screw and hold all the pieces together and it still took exactly 3 hours. The instructions are just pictures ant the white pieces were all put on backwards. We realized at the end but it was an easy fix. Very sturdy and I hope it last a while. ... show more
