My 9 month old has had this for a few months and at first he loved it which meant it got used a lot and dropped. I’m assuming in one of those we may have broken it because now the sound is muffled and very low. He still plays with it because of the lights but it didn’t fully survive with a rough baby for very long in its original state. It does play music and count but I can’t remember and now I can’t hear it anyway… lol. ... show more

My son loves this toy. The lights aren't too bright at night but bright enough if playing in a shady part of the home during a sunny day. You can adjust the volume which is nice and even on the loudest setting if you're playing on the bed it isn't as loud since the speaker is on the bottom and the bed absorbs most of the sound. We love the different modes and love that the drum is soft around the edges. I'd definitely buy this drum as a gift for another child. Edit: I still think I'd gift this to another child but since the day we purchased it until now the sensor got thrown off (my other toddler threw it on the floor.) So nothing was wrong with it just be careful to not rough handle this toy. I'll still use the drum I have for my child's therapy sessions just to keep encouraging to crawl to his favorite toy but I'm gonna order a new one for when he wants to drum at home and recieve feedback. ... show more
