I got this kit as a replacement for another one, which didn’t work and had to be returned. What can i say? I’ve never seen my 5yo so excited! Not even when he gets a brand new toy car. He was clapping and screaming and laughing in every experiment we did. The kit provides almost everything you need to run an experiment, you will only need a few basic items found in every household. I was super happy to see how detailed and clear the instruction booklet was (unlike the returned item) and there is an option to watch the experiments in a video format too.     • Fun addition to homeschooling
My kids are enjoying their kit so far! (We've tried three experiments.) My second grader writes his observations in the little included notebook, and the experiments are simple enough for my kindergartner and preschooler as well. It's engaging for all, and just takes a few minutes to complete. It's been a good addition to our homeschool schedule, and I love that it's hands-on and not just a video or worksheet. ... show more

My son is 6 and loves “experiments,” so we got him this for Christmas. We’ve only done a few things so far, but it’s fun for him and I appreciate that everything is included and there’s little from home required. I do wish the bags were resealable but we tape them shut each time and overall have been enjoying the kit. We seem to be missing the keychain, but overall this is a great value for younger kids. ... show more

I purchased this kit for my 5yr olds birthday and we just absolutely love this science kit. The experiments were suitable for all of my kiddos (ages 3-8). I highly recommend this kit even if I do wish some of the experiments were a little more advanced/involved and It would be nice if the book went into a little more detail about the "science" behind the experiment. However, it is a great value for the money and we have been enjoying this kit for a few weeks now and haven't even done half of the experiments in the kit. A few experiments use items from home but these are really simple things like water, oil, a bottle, etc. As you can see we did the volcano experiment indoors and definitely should have done it outdoors as the volcano literally exploded upto the ceiling (which caused all the kids to squeal in delight!). ... show more

This is awesome!! My 6 year old loves science experiments. He bought this with his birthday money. I was a little skeptical but it is amazing. It’s a wonderful kit for the price. It has easy instructions. We did have some difficulty working the dvd. For some reason it plays one experiment over and over. The dvd would be great but it’s not necessary to do the experiments. It is not something that my 6 year old can do alone which is fine, I enjoy the time we spend together. My 12 and 14 year olds were able to help him also. We homeschool and this fit right in with our science curriculum. There are SO many fun things in this kit and it is worth every penny! ... show more

Some of the experiments are pretty well anticlimactic, or don’t work at all. The volcano experiments are barely fizz at all, and there is an experiment with a balloon and helicopter blades that is supposed to fly, but it just falls to the ground. Some of the equipment included also doesn’t match the description in the instruction book. The kit comes with some great equipment, but it just isn’t very exciting. ... show more

I am very pleased with this purchase. I am giving it as a gift, so I cannot comment on how well everything works, but I can say that there is plenty to do in this kit. I bought a National Geographic kit and was very disappointed, so I sent it back. This kit was the type of thing I was expecting, lots of activities, a great instruction manual, and great packaging that makes the product look exciting and makes you want to dive in. ... show more
