    • Electric Slide!!
I finally converted to an electric mower and my Wild Badger 40V Power Lawn Mower works great. I have a small-medium front yard that takes about 25-30 minutes to mow and the Wild Badger worked like a pro. The mower arrives fairly put together so not much to assemble - however, the directions don't help out on the specifics. Basically some common sense and looking at the picture on the box to ensure I'm doing the right thing. The lower handle is pretty straight-forward as it has connectors to place against. The upper handle took a little thought as you have the screws, washer and the release thingy. The bag/gras container is easy to attach - similar to any other lawn mower. The batteries were somewhat pre-charged (which was nice) and didn't take long to fully charge - maybe 20 minutes. Open up the hatch, slide in the batteries and you are ready to go...or so I thought. I was reading the direction to turn it on and it made no sense whatsoever. However, it's quite simple: Push in the button on the right-hand side of the handlebars and grab and hold the bar along the top and it starts right up. Release the bar and it shuts off. The lowest grass cutting level is pretty tight to the ground and don't recommend. I did use it just to experiment and if you have flat ground it flows pretty easy. If you have thick brush or uneven ground, the mower will shut off repeatedly. Also, when the baggage is full and not vacuuming the grass into the baggage, it will begin to shut off. However, I raised it up a level and it actually looked better for my lawn and was smooth as silk. A couple aspects I am very impressed with is: (1) it is fairly quiet. If you have quiet zones in your neighborhood, mowing at 8 AM won't be disturbing your neighbors; also (2), the vacuum on the mower works exceptionally well. It picked up everything - an impressive upgrade from my previous mower. Overall, the mower is very light (about 30 pounds), easy to navigate and use - and it looks great. Love the blue color. I noticed I had to mow a little slower compared to my gas mower - but a willing compromise. So goodbye gasoline, oil and maintenance.     • Great, but really one one battery technically
I have a roughly 3/4 acre property, so battery operated mowers tend to not make it before running out of power. I was excited about this one because it claims to have two batteries and 2 separate chargers- that's great because I pictured one charging while I use the other, and just swap when one dies! But that's not how it works. Apparently this requires BOTH batteries in parallel to work simultaneously. They are each half the size of my other electric mower battery, so I guess that makes sense. It's essentially ONE electric mower battery but split into two separate packs that you need to charge together and then run together. The good news is that it seems to charge faster than my other mower on a single battery pack- I guess each charges up quicker due to being smaller capacity instead of one giant one. But it still won't finish my entire lawn before dying. That being said, it's actually a nicer mower than the previous electric one I've used. I like how the handle easily folds down using locking levers to secure in place or release. So far it seems to be doing a good job, it's relatively quiet and easy to use. For what it is, I like it, but I'm disappointed because it advertised TWO batteries which implies you can swap them out like a backup, but that's not actually how it works at all. ... show more

    • Easy to put together and very quiet
I have been wanting to try an electric mower for a while now. I really wanted to get away from gas powered for a number of reason. So I gave this one a try. So far I have not been disappointed. It was easy to put together. Most of it was together already you just have to put the handle arm on, which was simply enough to do. The batteries came almost fully charged right out of the box so I got to try it out right away. It was easy just slide the batteries in connecter side down. Then you push in the button on the side of the handle bar and pulling the safety bar back and release the button and it started right up. I had to adjust the height because it was very low to the ground but after that it worked great. There was enough charge in the battier for me to mow for about 30 mins or so, which is a good amount for me. I have about a 3rd of an acre of grass to mow and there was just enough to get it done. so you may need to get extra batteries or take a break to charge them if you have more land then me. The lawnmower is also super light, there is a handle on the base to easily pick it up and bring it around. Over all I am very happy with this mower and would get again. ... show more
