  • Top quality product
Arrived very quickly and they were packaged well to prevent breakage. They taste like lemon shortbread cookies, and they were manufactured and packaged only 6 weeks before I ordered them, so they're good 'til 2030.

  • Great taste and fill you up for good energy.
Although I got these for emergancies and storage, I like to try out products first. I have been using one "brick" for a few day hikes and overnight hikes. I was suprised at the taste and tecture, kind of like a vanilla sugar cookie, really good. A small piece goes a long way and gives that needed boost/energy on a hike. So for emergencies these would probably last a long way without dehydrating you. The brick breaks easily into 6 cubes. The cubes on the other hand are hard to break up without a knife. They crumble and make quite a mess. I put the main pakage in a gallon ziplock and that seems to contain it well enough for hiking purposes. ... show more

  • Best on the market
I’ve been purchasing these for years. They hold up and are good way past the use by date IF the packaging is still sealed. For me they also taste the best when compared to like rations.

  • Happy
The order was vacuum sealed tight and a relatively fresh batch manufactured in May 2022. Got the order today in July. Very pleased and I already know this brand tastes great. Can't imagine any other kind tasting better. Tastes like a low sugar - sugar cookie with a hint of lemon. Also, these are more go-bag friendly and lightweight. ... show more

  • ok I guess, some issues though...
I just began dabbling in the 'go bag' world and these seemed like a good option. Other reviews said these are dry, crumbly lemon flavored 2 in squares of eh ok 'food'. These are pretty much exactly what they are described as. I waited so long for a review to test 2 claims in particular. One review mentioned once he opened a pack they went stale the next day, one reason I went with the 2400 instead of 3600. I obviously tried one, and for a day with moderate exertion these will get you by feeling slightly hungry and a bit tired. But I left half in a zip lock bag for a month to test the stale theory and these were fine, no mold not stale after 14 days out of the factory sealed bag. 2nd claim is the packaging got weird reviews. Some got open bags or awkwardly sealed ones that opened on their own, which one of mine did. The way some are sealed is like they ran out of stuff so they just crammed the bars in and hoped for the best, but got the worst. Not a big deal breaker, I just ate that pack and moved on. Others also said they got packs less than 5 years until expiration, which I did not. All of mine were packaged 3 months before I got it. Over all, for the price, the work involved in storing once you open, and the risk of the package failing, I would just stick with granola bars and rotate those out of your pack every 6 months. ... show more

  • Good product
These are nice. Compact, vacuum packed, easy to fit a couple into your backpack. They taste a little like cornbread with the texture of a cookie and one block will stop your hunger and hold you over for a few hours.

  • Good product
I like the fact that I have emergency food around in case of a disaster, there are no dislikes to add
