  • Great value for price
Size: 9.8' L x 13.1' W x 6.56' H
The media could not be loaded. We will start with the negative- directions are dumb. There is not a single word in the booklet. You just look at the pieces and hope you’re doing it right. However, it was not complicated, and the bigger pieces were labeled, so we did not have an issue. It comes with 100 zip ties, buy 100 more. This is great for something during the day to let your chickens get some sun and grass. It is NOT sturdy enough to withstand predators. Either use it as a run, or put a sturdy coop inside to lock them in at night. It could easily be reinforced, but not with the materials it comes with. It took 3 hours with three people, from opening the box to finishing, to assemble. I would recommend at least two, especially when you get to the chicken wire part. Ignore directions that tell you to cut triangles for the last four parts once you’ve done the main chicken wire. Once you’ve done the back, the triangles you cut to make it line up Will fit perfectly on the front. And you’ll have extra from the door to do the triangle space above it. All in all, I would buy again. Will update if it doesn’t last. ... show more

  • Good for keeping chickens safe - but could use a couple design improvements.
Size: 9.8' L x 19.7' W x 6.56' H
We got this back during the late summer when we started seeing a bobcat hanging around our yard, and the roosters would sound off the alarm. I’m glad to report the chickens are still safe and happy many months later. However, the design could use a few improvements, two of which are very easy to resolve by a trip to the store, but the other is true a design flaw. First, it needs to ship with way more plastic ties (used to attach the wire mesh). Like 4 times as many! It also could use a tarp that is twice as long, for shade and rain. So we took care of those things with a trip to Walmart. The design “flaw” that we can’t fix (at least not easily) is that the far end opposite the door, it has no vertical support. We need to move this around our yard each day, onto a new patch of grassy area, and if you only have 2 people to move it, then one person rather needs to lift it using the bottom “rod” there, and it is not sturdy enough. So it has begun to bend in that area. If it had one vertical support “beam” on that end (like it has on the door side), then this would not be an issue. I might get another one of these enclosures next spring, as it has been great for the chickens - but will look for one with a better design structure. ... show more

  • Fast setup, good value, but not going to last forever.
Size: 118.0"L x 78.0"W x 78.0"H
This is working great as an outdoor emergency habitat. Feral cats on my property needed a place to recover after trap and neuter, but before release again. This filled the bill. Shipping was amazingly quick, and it went up well and fast, which was great. All the parts were there, the frame pieces fit together nicely. It will soon become a chicken run, after the cats are released. Very pleased with the value, and it is quite sturdy. Plenty of room for me to have a chair to try to hang out to tame the kitties areas a little bit, and for them to have a kitty gym to climb and play. I do live in high salt, but I'll bet I can get at least 2 or 3 years out of it as a chicken run as well. ... show more

  • lightweight to the max
Size: 9.8' L x 13.1' W x 6.56' H
First thing I would say is they really need to look at several things with this. The frame is flimsy. I had several of them arrive with the ends bent out of round. Didn't take much pressure at to bend them back enough to fit, so maybe that is a plus? Manual looks like they weren't even going to attempt to translate as it's just pictures, no written instruction at all. Didn't help that several of the frame pieces were not labeled, matter of fact had a couple that were totally mislabeled which led to some head scratching. Netting is just lightweight plastic coated 'chicken wire' on one big roll, held on with plastic 'zip ties' I recommend at least two people to assemble, three might be better. Going to have to address the bottom railings as it certainly not going to discourage anything from digging under. A dog would be under it in no time. Height is misleading; the wall post are less than 4 feet high, so really cuts into getting around my coop inside.... the door is very narrow and you have to assemble it, was a bit of a pain trying to get it good and square. Extra pair of hands would have helped out with that one. All in all, this product is a good example of you get what you pay for. Except, I'm not sure I even got that. Good for temporary, lower security protection for your chickens. I will probably try and figure a way to remove the coop and attach this thing by a run to help, but again, this product was much less than I would have thought. UPDATE: Zip ties are brittle and easily break, I watched my beagle pop two of them in less than a minute. I have now used some lightweight wire to "sew" the fabric to the poles. I continue to have issues with the door becoming off square enough to make opening and closing it more difficult than it should be. The wall height has proven to be really problematic as I can only walk upright in the middle, and with the limited clearance with my roughly 5 x 5 x 5 hutch inside, I had to modify the hutch ramp etc to make it work at all. I am starting to think I need to work on a tunnel system so I can remove the coop from the cage altogether by the time the pullets are grown. ... show more
