The temperature on this will not go below 250 degrees. So, you will need to be careful with fine or damaged hair. It heats up quickly and even the back of the paddle which does not touch your hair gets really hot. Luckily I had it laying on a folded towel. I m not talented on styling I m not a patience either ..this tool made it all! easier nicer and faster + not damaging woke up this morning and found what i was dreaming about : frizz free light weight soft smooth shiny hair...nice feeling to brush. I have wavy thick hair that needs straightener taming to style - I’ve used traditional flat irons for 20+ years. I gave this tool a try just on a whim and am pleased. It is easier to get the under layers near the scalp straightened and it seems to take less time.
