These are beautiful and they were packed very (very) well. I can only think that those that had it broken were so mishandled by the shipping company in order to break them as these are boxed in individual compartments and wrapped in bubble wrap too. Getting them out took time as they were firmly in place with no room for movement. The candle holders themselves are stunning. The look beautiful in groupings. We are using these for a wedding and they are super pretty but a votive or battery operated candle are too tall for them. A small tea light is the only candle that will work.

When I bought these there were only a few reviews, and I really thought that most of them were fake. I took a chance anyway, and I’m so happy I did!! I had an outdoor birthday party on 8/8 and I knew the sun would set towards the end of the party. (These don’t come with lights so I also bought reusable tea lights). Let me just say, these are beautiful, high quality/solid, and seem exactly like the pictures. I’m so, so happy. People kept complimenting them. One did arrive broken, but they were packaged really securely with a lot of cushion, so I think that’s just the hazard of ordering breakable things through the mail. I purchased these votives for a champagne, cream and gold wedding. What I really love about them is that they are the perfect shade of gold. Not brassy but subtle they would work if you like to mix your metals as they seem to reflect whatever colors you pair them with. Versitility is the key, I've used them for a modern table setting but then was happily surprised how nice they looked in on a traditional table. I love these. They look great and they're made of a pretty thick glass. Out of the 3 boxes I ordered for my wedding, only one votive came shattered. Each one is wrapped in its own little bubble wrap bag, so the mess was contained and it was safe and easy to dispose of. There's always a risk of something like this happening when shipping glass items, and I was expecting some to arrive broken. I'm actually pleasantly surprised it was only 1 out of 48! ... show more
