I bought the king size olefin hammock to replace a cotton hammock. I use it on a hammock stand that I had used for the cotton hammock. I researched a bit on the different materials that can be used and the positive and negative of them. I plan on leaving it out exposed to the elements like rain and morning sunlight . I only had experience with the cotton, which rotted out and would stay damp for a long time but was very comfortable. Olefin seamed a good choice since quick dry, UV protection, color longevity. At first I found the material rough and uncomfortable with too much fabric, warmth and lack of ventilation. After a little experimenting by inverting and twisting the hook I found the air circulation and lounging comfort better. I recommend this hammock but you may need to try different positions and hanging techniques to maximize your comfort. ... show more

These are nice hammocks, they have an interesting gathered end but are well made. They are big, easily big enough to lay at an angle. They have a lot of stretch, you need to hang a bit tighter than you think. My onky negative is the material is solid fabric so it doesn't breath well. Everyone loves the hammock but it ripped on one side after a couple of months. Usually used by my 8 yr old, who is barely 60 lbs. It could have been caused by a big storm we had. It is still usable and feels sturdy even with the rip.

This is an awesome hammock. It is so comfortable that you don't even feel it. In fact when laying on it; it feels like I am floating. La Siesta customer service is awesome. Accidentally purchased the king sized version first and did not realize the error until I tried to hang it a few days past the return window. I reached out to them and explained the situation. The material is kind of scratchy but durable and nothing would get caught it in like other ones with holes. The only problem is air doesn't flow thru very well. Better for cooler climates
