  • Very accurate and visually appealing
The clock arrived well packaged and in perfect condition. My first impression was that it is a nice clock, easy to read, and has a timeless—no pun intended—design. The clock can be manually set, but it is pretty tedious, so I just followed the instructions and let it set itself. All you have to do is select the time zone and daylight saving time using the switches on the back and press the button and it resets to midnight and then searches for the atomic clock time signal. (Of note, this clock can only be used in the 48 contiguous United States or countries that fall within one of those time zones, because the time zone switch only allows for the four main U.S. time zones.) It did take a while to acquire a signal and set itself, which the instructions warned me about, but by the next day the clock was set and telling time accurately to the second as verified by the NIST server. Overall, this clock is an excellent proposition for the price and looks good hanging up in my kitchen. I would purchase it again. ... show more

  • La Crosse Atomic Clocks are still the best
We now have three of the La Crosse atomic wall clocks around the house. The one in our family room, a Seiko, my wife said just didn't look right in there, so this with the wood made her happy. This one was a return unit that I purchased from Amazon Warehouse that someone had sent back for whatever reason, complete with a nice Eveready battery. Saved a few bucks, and it arrived in as new condition, having been repacked properly in its original box by the previous customer, so I'm happy. As a side note, this clock had apparently been purchased originally by someone on the west coast, so that's the time that it was set for upon arriving. I slid the time zone switch to central time, hit the "Wave" button, and the clock immediately took off and set itself to our time within about a minute, unlike the (more expensive) Seiko, which I had to park near a western facing window before it would set itself. If you are in need of an atomic clock, my recommendation is that you should simply find a La Crosse clock that you like the looks of and be done with it. ... show more

  • Attractive
This replaced an old radio controlled clock which died after a dozen years. It’s made by the same manufacturer, but it syncs to the correct time much faster. It’s also better looking.

  • Looks good, keeps perfect time
First, this clock is the perfect size for the space I bought it for. I like the clean, minimalist looks with real wood trim. The hands are nearly perfectly aligned. What worried me about purchasing this was that it is for an inside wall with the nearest window facing Rhode Island (I live in Connecticut). I wasn’t sure it would be able to get the radio signal from Colorado. I was pleasantly surprised when I woke up the morning after setting it up that it was showing the correct time to the second (based on my iPhone time). One month later, it is still keeping almost perfect time (once I noticed that it was exactly 2 minutes off — but corrected itself within a few days). I’m very pleased with this purchase. ... show more

  • Super easy setup
This was way better than the first one I bought on Amazon which ran 20 minutes off. This looks good and keeps accurate time. Super easy setup too!

  • It Works
In 24 hours after inserting the battery, the clock was showing the correct local time +/- 3 minutes. After 48 hours it was accurate +/- 1 minute. In 72 hours the hour and the minute hands were correct, but the seconds hand was still off by 30 seconds. in 96 hours the clock was showing the exactly correct local time, to the second. Pro: It works. Con: It's a little big for my application, but I think I'll keep it. It will be interesting to see what happens when DST occurs and when the battery has to be replaced. ... show more
