UPDATED REVIEW: I am changing my review to five stars. In my original review I only gave two stars because I didn't like how the clock had flashing lights between the hours and minutes. In under 24 hours the seller reached out to offer a refund and also a remedy to the issue to try, which was to hold the minute button on the back for a full two seconds to see if the flashing stopped. I tried that today and it worked! I am so happy that the alarm clock will not be waking me up with flashing dots! Original review which has now been fixed: Overall it's a good alarm clock but the flashing dots between the hours and minutes drive me nuts. The flashing wakes me up. I bought this to sit on top of my TV and it’s gorgeous being black with white letters. I dim it down and it’s perfect all night long. I’m definitely buying another one.. thanks for AA batteries so I suspect it’ll probably last a year?

Battery operated (it runs more than 12 months before it needs fresh batteries. I am using 4 AA Energizer Rechargable batteries to power it. I like that it is battery operated - cordless and portable.

I am not happy with this purchase. First off, I didn’t realize but it only takes AA batteries! So you’re constantly having to replace them. There is no way to plug it in or charge it with a usb. The time is not working right anymore. It's probably because I have to replace the batteries every two weeks. But I’m not sure. Also, it is not very bright, I can barely see it during the day. I even paid extra for this one, thinking it would last longer than the other Amazon China clocks. But this one has been the worst. UPDATE: The company contacted me and is sending me another clock. They think I may have gotten a bad one, as with fresh batteries, the time should last 10 months. I am very impressed with the company's proactiveness and willingness to make it right. I still wish there was another way to charge it or plug it in. ... show more

Very easy to set time, I don't use alarms. Just big enough and I like how it dims at night to save batteries. I'm using rechargeable AA batteries, so far 1 month and still going strong.

I bought the red LED version. Brightness is OK in a darker area. I placed mine on a darker shelf below the TV and it is OK. In a really bright room, it looks a little dim. At least I don't need to run a power cord. I will update the review after a year to see what the battery life is.
