I needed a highly visible battery operated clock to set on a shelf. This filled the bill. I've had it a couple months and it gained about 20 seconds in that time. Not great but acceptable considering there are so few choices in this category. It is very easy to read from across the room. It does have a bit of a cheap feel to it. It is not super easy to set the time or the alarm. I haven't had it long enough to determine how easy it is on batteries. I may buy another one for a different room. I was very skeptical about this clock after reading so many negative reviews about all the clocks Amazon seems to have. Since this one had the size and attributes I wanted, and price reasonable. I bought it skepticaly but it has proved it to be very reliable and accurate. It has only been a month but I see no reason to just stop now. We’ll see. ... show more

I bought this wireless clock to use in my camper van. It’s small enough to sit on the counter at the foot of my bed. It doesn’t have to be plugged in. The numbers are large enough to be seen fairly easily. My intent is to use it mainly at night, so I chose green numerals figuring it was a more subdued color. Setting the time was relatively easy. If you've served at sea on a Navy ship, you already know what "darken ship" means and that we use "red light" to see in the dark AND retain our "night vision." For those of you that don't appreciate that, "try it, you'll like it." I also have a string of red night LED lights plugged in along the hallway's, kitchen and various doorways. The latter helps me navigate at night and the former lets me know what time it is. You probably need to be over 50 to appreciate why that's important. Almost everyone knows that white lights adversely affect "night vision" and for that reason, I have battery powered motion sensor white lights that guard the front and back doors. In the hopefully unlikely event someone is stupid enough to approach my home at night (ala one of those stupid "challenges" that periodically pop-up to pound on someone's door late at night), the white light will help blind them, alert me, and deter them. And if you have 4K security video camera's the white light will aide in facial recognition. In military parlance, this might be referred to as "systems integration." In a simpler more term, I like to "kill 3+ birds with one stone (because just 2 is SO last century before Amazon gave us wide access to "on the shelf" technology). ... show more

Great easy read green display..I don't think I'll use the alarm.. But battery powered makes this a winner...I'm going to use this on my ham radio bench..plus..it does 24hr format.. I recommend...I bought another one also

We got this to replace an old analog bathroom clock that had finally given up. This clock has an LED readout which comes in three colors: white green and red. We got the white one and are quite pleased with it. There are three settings for the brightness, and while there is not much difference between them, the clock's highest setting is bright enough to make it easy to see in daylight, but not not so sharp that is is annoying at night. There is a way to have the clock automatically adjust to the lowest brightness setting at night, so if you like it brighter in daytime but not so much at night, you don't have to reset it every time. This clock is an alarm clock, but we do not use it for that, so I cannot comment on that feature, but the display is nicely done- always easy to read and not piercingly bright.
