  • These are perfect!
Style: 2-pack (Magnum)
These are absolutely perfect for what proved to be hard to find covers. The original cap on my guidescope is very loose fitting and tended to get knocked of when I put the cover on my telescope. I used the second one as a chip cover for one of my cameras. These are well made, tight fitting and easy to install/remove. Kuvrd will be my "goto" tube and camera covers. ... show more

  • More handy than you’d think
Style: 2-pack (Micro)
At first glance I thought these might be an excessive item to have, but I decided to buy because I bought a vintage lens that came with no caps. They instantly became the embodiment of that saying, you don’t know what you’re missing out on until you’ve had it. I use them so frequently now and they are very durable. Not only that, but also very satisfying to use. When I use these, I know my equipment is safe ... show more

  • Great functionality and space saving all in one little rubber package!
Style: 2-pack (Micro)
I will say, I have been using the Kurvd Lens Caps since the first iteration came out. These lens covers come in so handy on shoots, especially since I shoot a lot of sports. So not having to worry about the plastic lens caps bopping around in my pocket is great. So when they came out with Series 2 in the different sizes i had to try these out as well. The Micro's fit great on my under 76mm lenses and I use the First Run Universal fit on my others. Plan on trying the new Macro's soon! I can literally pull the lens cover off, stuff it in my pocket (it folds up nicely due to the material) and then pull it out and put it over the lens in less than 3 seconds if needed. These hold up well to any kind of dust etc. (I would recommend not putting them in a pocket inside out due to pocket lint etc. No need to get that on your lenses, so always keep them right side out). The "X" on the cover is now white as well but it can be colored in any color you like to differentiate your lenses by sight. I use blue on my Sony lenses. Since picking up the series 2's I now have them as the front and back covers on all my Sony lenses in my kit. Bang up job, Kurvd! I am a fan for life! Ill throw up a video of them in action soon! ... show more

  • Good idea, okay execution, terrible brand
Style: 2-pack (Magnum)
First, these are sold as replacements for lens caps. They look pretty cool but they don't actually serve this function particularly well. - This is a stretchy rubber cover that's not going to protect your lens if anything strikes it. So, at best it goes over the existing lens cap. This is actually pretty helpful to keep more of the lens body safe from dings and scrapes, but a lenscoat type product will protect the entire lens. This product also tends to roll up and partially come off lenses if they're, say, in a backpack. - The same clinginess that will keep this lens cover from coming off fully and getting lost like normal lenscaps makes it hard to remove - nowhere near as fast as a normal lens cap and hard to do one-handed. So, again,. more of a travel or storage product than a lens cap replacement, and it's a bit pricey for just that function. Finally, interacting with this brand is a huge turn-off. Check out their social media - the tone is super bro-y and obnoxious, and they tear down any critical comments. Unlike so many of the cool, small companies innovating for photographers, this isn't the kind of company I feel good supporting. ... show more

  • Magnums, Really? Too Tight On 77+ mm. Need Larger Size. If These Are Magnum, I Need MAGNUM Condoms!
I purchased the 10 count of Version 2 Magnums... Just like most things that are "universal" or "one-size-fits-all," these covers fall short...way short. I was looking forward to these "slip-on" covers being EASILY and QUICKLY attachable to my lenses. NOT and NOT, a double whammy! At first, I thought that the 2-pack container that was labeled "MAGNUM" had been packed mistakenly with MICROs. That's how difficult it was to get it on my lenses. I opened the other four 2-pack containers and found that all were the same size, so it wasn't a mistake. I tried these on my 24-105 F4.0L, 15-35 f2.8L, 24-70 f2.8L, 70-200 f2.8L, etc. Yeah, they'll go over---with some effort---the lens barrels, but ONLY the lens barrels! And these new Version 2 covers are stretchier than Version 1? If you use your lens hoods, fuggeddaboutit! Sure, after a few choice utterances, you'll get it on very short hoods on wide angle lenses, but on wider, deeper hoods for telephoto lenses...good luck. If you're like me and keep your hoods reverse-attached, I hope you have plenty of extra space in your bag for all of the detached hoods if you choose to use these. By force-feeding two sizes to have to work with 99% of lenses, they missed the mark. They need to add a larger size: CroMagnum. Now, I wasn't expecting these to work on exotics like 300 f2.8, 400 f2.8, 500 f4.0, 600 f4.0, 800 f5.6, etc., but it should fit comfortably on a 70-200 f2.8 with the hood reverse-attached. How can you not design something that can be "slipped" EASILY onto all of the 'Holy Trinity' of lenses. If you have anything that takes a 77 mm, 82 mm, or larger filter, this is NOT easy to get on, and I'm just talking about it going over the lens barrel, not the hood. Because it must be s---t---r---e---t---c---h---e---d, you NEED TO USE BOTH HANDS to "slip" it over the lens. You also need the camera/lens to be placed against a hard surface (tabletop, floor, ground) so it doesn't become a moving target that you're having to chase around, and your angle-of-attack for installation has to be close to straight down the barrel to prevent the camera/lens from sliding away. Picture this... I was sitting on my carpeted floor trying to get a cover on one of my Holy Trinity lenses with the hood reversed. I'm stretching the Magnum with both hands, then I try to get it on the lens positioned in front of me. Unfortunately, the lens slides and moves away when I start on one side at about a 45° angle and try to stretch it over to the other side, so I end up having to hold the lens with my feet to prevent the lens from running away from me. When I'm out shooting casually or run-and-gun and I have my camera dangling on a cross-body sling, this cover would NOT work because the camera isn't immobilized with my foot vice. How can you stop the camera/lens from moving? You grab it with your hand. But, you also need two hands to stretch the cover over the lens. That would mean that, UNLESS I HAVE THREE HANDS, it ain't happening. Maybe, if I'm wearing my Cotton Carrier vest and the camera is attached on my chest, I could manage to get the cover over the lens. But, what if I have the second body on the side holster? If I'm carrying two camera bodies that are dangling on slings, the covers definitely would be way too awkward and much too difficult to attach...without three hands. To me, this is more of a lens *protector* for travel or for storage. It's NOT a cover for everyday use that you can substitute for a lens cap, which is what I was hoping for. Furthermore, if you're like me and use neoprene protectors (like Lenscoat) on your lenses, the neoprene strips, especially on hoods, may shift or dislodge when you try to attach these covers. I'll just continue to use neoprene boots (Lenscoat, OP/TECH) and pinch caps. I don't need three hands to install them. Unless KUVRD adds larger sizes with a much more relaxed, looser fit that can be stretched much more easily and installed using just one hand, these covers are not for everyday use and they're not for me. Too bad. ... show more
