First most important question: use a 3 1/8" hole saw for the install. For the product itself, very easy to install, works as intended. Only complaint is, if you have 3 devices in, it seems to "normal charge" not fast charge. Which, for the price, that is fine by me, I am happily ordering my second unit. The first unit is still working 1.5y later, but I have a need for another one in another location. All in all, I recommend it.     • Be mindful of desk frame

The product is fine and is easy to install and works as intended. My issue is that the frame of my desk gets in the way of the ring that is used to secure it to the desk. This is on me as I did not take that into consideration and I am not going to modify the desk or cut the plastic ring to make it work. Seems like my only option is going to be one from Uplift that is friction fit, but much more expensive and less features. I would keep it otherwise as it is perfect for my needs. ... show more

It has the ports I need. I bought two and installed on either end of a couch table I built. Now everything the wife and I have can be charged right where we sit. The instructions state it needs an 80mm holes to mount into. Go ahead and buy an 80mm hole saw if you don't have one. I thought I did but ended up using a 3" hole saw and then using a file to expand it the needed 3mm for it to fit. ... show more

    • Convenient but has some limitations

Very handy replacement for grommets that just let in cords. This now allows me to plug in quick use plugs or chargers when I inevitably need to quickly charge or use something that's usually not. sitting on my desk. The limitations are that this is clearly meant for that use case, not really for permanent devices to be plugged due to the power limitation. It does do higher power charging, but not simultaneously with multiple devices by usb. If you're not expecting to fast charge more than 2 devices at once, it's perfect. It can do a second device with a power adapter plugged in, in addition to one of the usb's. The plugs are also a little too close together, so you can't plug in 2 "bricks" at the same time, but you can plug in 2 devices with just plugs and not bricks. Very handy, and I no longer need to keep an extra power strip visible on my desk. Best use of the ugly hole in my desk. Took a star off for these use case limitations, but I am pretty happy with this. ... show more

This does the trick along with an excellent circular saw bit that I bought on Amazon too.
