  • Makes my 51 year old table saw safer
The switch on my 51 year old Craftsman table saw shorted out. It wasn't as safe as this switch as it wasn't a paddle switch and I had to locate the small switch button that was underneath to turn the saw off. This switch turns off with a swipe of my hand. No searching for where it is. When off the paddle is recessed just enough to be safe. When on it sticks out enough that it is easy to find it to turn the saw off. Kreg answers said it would work with any power tool that is 15 amps or less and regular 110-120 volt current. I had a bracket that I used to adapt this to my table saw in a vertical position. Does the job! It has one plug for the table saw motor and has a second plug for a shop vac or light if I want to add one more device. ... show more

  • Great product wish I would of paid a bit more attention to the pics and description
It does exactly what I need it to do. Wanted to run my router off a switch as my router is mounted to a router plate so the switch is under the table. This switch allowed me to turn the router on and off without cutting the end of the plug to hard wire it to the switch which is most of these style switchs. The cord is heavy duty, I kinda expected it to be skimpier and lighter for the price I paid. My one thing that is 100% my fault is this switch is designed to be bolted to the metal leg of a table so the way the mounting plate for this is designed I had to take a cutting wheel and cut 4 slits in the wood leg to get this to sit flush with the wood to fasten it. Nothing I couldnt deal with and Im very pleased with the switch and I would buy again. ... show more

  • Works great
Mounted to a Kreg table. Many reviews are knocking off stars because they aren't mounting to a Kreg table but that is clearly the intended purpose so not sure why. It does what it is designed to do perfectly.

  • Thigh power
I bought a Kreg router table, and soon after bought this switch to add to it. I think it's a little overpriced, but have to say it fits the Kreg table perfectly. It's a very easy and natural motion to switch off the router with my right leg. Way better than any alternative for switching off, and it allows me to keep my hands on the workpiece. Good "control and safety" addition to my router table. The switch also allows me to plug in another device. Once I get organized (ha!) I hope to get a dust collector plugged into this switch so it'll turn on with the router motor. ... show more

  • A Router Table Must Have
When I purchased my Kreg free-standing router table I also bought the Kreg PRS3100 Router Table Switch. The switch mounts to the front leg of the router table at any height you choose. Plugging your router motor into the switch allows you the convenience of easily starting the router by flipping the oversized mid-thigh level switch paddle with your hand. More importantly, since the paddle portion is now slightly extended outward, it's very easy and quick to shut down the router with just a flick of your leg. The switch itself appears to be sturdy and well designed. There are two receptacles on the switch so you can plug in the router motor and a shop vacuum so both turn on and off with the switch. For safety reasons the switch has a yellow keyed insert that could be removed to make the switch inoperable. It's a great idea if there are small children around. At $30, the switch is on the expensive side but it is a valuable safety component. To me, it's worth every penny. I recommend that all woodworkers consider this switch as an essential component for their router tables. I'm glad I made this purchase. ... show more

  • Great add on to power tool stands and custom combo stands
Adds a lot of convenience to tool operation. I’ve had one on my router table for a long time, recently built a combo stand for my planer and added the switch to it as well. Easy to install, works like a charm!

  • Kreg safety switch for a Kreg router table
This is exactly what I needed for my Kreg router table - the safety switch easily attaches to my Kreg router table and it has two plugs available at the back of the switch so that you can plug in both your router as well as a dedicated shop vacuum so that both are turned on and off via the Kreg switch. The unit also comes with an eight foot long electric cord to power the switch and any tool plug into the switch. Another quality product from Kreg - well-designed and well-implemented. ... show more

  • Solid, well-constructed switch
I bought his as the final piece in a router table I made to fit into the end of my table saw. I have a metal stand with some homemade drawers underneath the table, and I mounted the switch to one of the stamped-steel legs of the table. The hardware for the switch is expecting to be attached to a stamped-steel metal leg. The screw heads are seen in front, and the bolts fit into a recess on the backside of the switch. Cord length is generous, and the two receptacles allow me to plug the vacuum in and turn on at the same time. My router has a slow start feature, so I needed this type of switch. Switches with rheostats will not work with a slow-start router (I had to return one.) Construction is solid, just like all other Kreg products. It should last forever ... show more
