It makes it possible to do edge- forming using non-piloted bits, and guides cuts along the workpiece edge or up to 8 in. from the edge. Featured equipment includes a dust extraction hood and vacuum hose adapter that allows connection to 1-1/4 in., 1-1/2 in. and 35 mm hoses. The edge guide also includes a pivot plate and can be easily converted into a circle guide for making circles and arcs up to 32 in. in diameter.     • This edge guide is fine
I read quite a few complaints about this edge guide. I bought it anyway. Though it’s more complicated than I think necessary, it works fine. The spring adjustment mechanism works fine if you set it up how it’s obviously meant to be set up. The guide doesn’t come loose in the router base if you tighten it properly. The plastic edge runners are straight—far straighter than the Bosch sub-bases are flat. I’m afraid that some of the low reviews reflect operator error. I agree that taping the circle guide pivot to the workpiece is rather strange. Follow Norm’s example: drill your workpiece and insert a pin. I’m not personally concerned with dust collection, so I have no opinion there. The guide works. ... show more

I purchased this for my Bosch router and it works great. I have only one dislike or complaint about this product and that is the plastic knob and collar. It’s a really just my personal opinion but I think a nice aluminum adjustment knob and increment collar would really take this product to a higher quality level for a small price. It seems to be accurate enough but there’s something about the feel of the plastic adjustment knob that makes it feel like less than I’d expect from a company like Bosch. ... show more

    • Great for portable router cuts
The Amazon price was very reasonable. Bosch nearly always makes quality tools, and this is no exception. It adjusts easily and almost flawlessly, and is made with quality parts. Directions? Mostly, I felt on my own, but because I've used similar items before it wasn't bad. I do wish it came with its own storage case, because it is a little bulky just by its nature and in my shop hard to find a place to store it. ... show more

This is a great edge guide for a router. Love the micro adjustment and the smooth gliding material on the guide fence. Got to love the Bosch quality. Cast aluminum rather than cheap stamped steel. It’s just a quality piece that I would expect years of use from.

    • Amazing Router Guide!
This Bosch router guide fits my DEWALT DW618 router well. First use was for a dovetail groove for my workbench dovetail clamps. this guide was great! Did the job, stayed tight and no problems!
