  • Perfect!
Color: Stainless Steel
The sink is more beautiful than expected. It fit perfect in our new kitchen and it looks amazing with our new Stainless steel appliances. Very happy with this purchase!

  • Great sink, but the mounting anchors are less great.
Color: Scratch Resist
The good: The sink is attractive, durable, truly scratch resistant (at least as far as I can tell), and after using it for over nine months, I have no complaints about it! I highly recommend this sink! The bad: The mounting anchors were terrible. I followed the installation instructions and drilled the appropriately sized holes for the anchors in my butcher block countertop, but no matter how hard I tried, I could not drive the anchors into the holes. They mushroomed, cracked, and twisted/warped, and only one of them made it roughly half way into one of the holes. After quite a bit of frustration, I finally went to a local big box store and purchased some heavy gauge screws then used them to hold the mounting brackets instead. This was somewhat annoying to me since I should have been able to complete the installation with the provided hardware (particularly given the price of this sink), but it was not a "deal breaker" for me. With that said, I can see this being a more serious issue for someone who is installing in concrete, granite, etc. and cannot easily drive screws into it. ... show more

  • Scratches Already
Color: Stainless Steel
This sink is beautiful and came with so many bells and whistles. I also know from my plumber it was easy to install (although, deeper than it may seem). Although it shines up well, it takes some elbow grease. What concerns me is that for 16 gauge steel, it shouldn't already have a scratch, but it does. It also showed rust stains fairly quickly, but I was able to polish them out. ... show more

  • Needed a sink in a hurry, two years later it's still 5 stars!
Color: Stainless Steel
Two years ago when we remodeled our kitchen, our designer recommended and we bought a Blanco double bowl sink from a local plumbing supply company. Can't remember the exact price, approximately $600 discounted. When the sink came in, I took it to the granite fabricator so they could cut the hole and undermount it in the countertop. The next day the shop foreman calls to tell me he won't install it, it's too flimsy, he won't guarantee the countertop if I insist on using it. I went to the shop and he showed me what he was concerned about, the 16 gauge SS sink was flimsy, it wobbled and flexed as though it were made of aluminum foil, had no rigidity or sound proofing, and looked cheap compared to the 'free' sinks they give away. The granite, by the way, was not one of the fragile varieties. The plumbing supply company was not helpful in finding a quick replacement, and insisted on a 25% restocking fee to return it. That left me with Amazon as my only hope. The reviews of the Kraus sink were great, the price was a bargain ($249 in 2012) compared to the other, and with the original Prime 3.99 next day fee, I took it to the fabricator the next day. He was happy to install it and said it looked like a great choice. It was a great choice, and along with the Kraus accessory grids we bought, the sink looks as good as the day we got it almost two years ago. Which brings me to why I'm just writing my review - we're remodeling our laundry room and need a single bowl sink, so I looked up my original order so that I could find a Kraus sink with the same specs as our kitchen sink. I noticed that i never reviewed the sink after buying it, and it has been such a great product that came to us in an emergency, that I felt the need to give it 5 stars and my highest recommendation. ... show more

  • Rust-Please read update
Color: Stainless Steel
First off, my intial impression of this sink was 5 stars. It appears to be a very solid well made sink for the money. Now, we have had this sink for about 6 months, and I noticed yesterday that it had what appeared at first glance to be grease or soap residue on the sides. After a closer inspection, I saw that it was rust. I immediately cleaned the sink with Hopes Perfect sink. It removed most of the rust, but you can still see faint evidence of where the rust is. Needless to say, I am very dissatisfied with this. The sink it replaced was the cheapest SS sink Lowes carried that had been used for 18 years. We never dried the sink after using, no protective polish (in other words-no maintenance). The old sink has sat outside in my utility trailor for six additional months, and guess what? It has NEVER rusted. Being an undermount, without removing the quartz countertop, it cannot be replaced (will not come out from below without major work because of the method the countertop installers used). Low quality SS has to be one reason why it is so much cheaper than other sinks. Maybe I just got a bad one. But all I know is the few hundred dollars I saved does not make up having to perform the added maintenance on the sink. But I am stuck for now. Unless it gets much worse, it is just too much trouble and work to disrupt a 6 months old kitchen remodel to replace. UPDATE: After an additional 6 months of usage, we don't seem to be having the rusting issue any longer. I don't have a clue what could have caused this, but anyhow, we are now pleased with the value of this sink. It does require a cleaning/protectant product occasionally, but not nearly as often as it did in the beginning. It has become a very good value that would be hard to beat for the price. Changed rating from 3 stars to 5 stars to reflect this. ... show more
