Once i got it i tested it out and it works great! I was able to hammer a stick onto it and then drill into a block of wood to make a rocket stove. It is sharp and drills through the wood like butter. The included case is a nice addition.

This is a fun bushcraft tool to use with soft wood, but consider using a real power tool if need to drill a hole in hard wood. The drill feels like it is well made and sharp. Although the sheath is not made of leather it is perfectly functional. The price is fair.

If you're GO KIT doesn't have one of these...you ain't got a go kit that can go. this tool and a good knife can build a house. Course you have to use this to make the tools that would help make that house. But if you got to go absolute native...bring one of these.

Disclaimer: I’ve yet to make a handle for it and have the opportunity to use it in the field. However, the unit itself appears to be heavy duty enough to do what its purpose is for. Could the carry pouch be more durable? Sure. The leather is soft and thin and the thread is very thin and appears unwaxed, which is fine. JMO, but I would recommend treating the entire case if you plan on carrying it outside of your pack in order to make it last. That being said, mine arrived exactly as advertised in the photo. That alone scores points in my book. And for the price, I believe it’s well worth the money. I would recommend and I would buy again. ... show more
