I have to share my personal experience with this hammock because it has exceeded my expectations. First of all, it's incredibly spacious! I was pleasantly surprised by how much room there is for two people to comfortably relax. It's definitely larger than I expected. Setting it up was a breeze, thanks to the included straps. They are sturdy and allow for easy height adjustments, so you can find the perfect position. The straps make it versatile enough to hang between trees of various distances or sometimes just from a tree to the back of my truck, which is a huge plus. The comfort level of this hammock is outstanding. The material is soft and cozy, making it a joy to lounge in. I've even taken it on a camping trip and had a great night's sleep in it, you can feel a breeze through it. It's impressive how it can accommodate a weight and still provide a comfortable experience. The portability of this hammock is another big win for me. When packed up, it's compact and takes up space about the size of a half loaf of bread. I love that I can easily throw it in my truck and take it with me on camping adventures or simply enjoy it on a sunny day in the backyard. I was looking for a nice hammock for summer use two years ago. This is the one I settled on. When I was in an apartment, I kept the included straps on my balcony railing and would hang my hammock from them all the time. Now that I have a backyard, I had my dad put some posts in for me and again am leaving the included straps up all the time. I take the hammock in when I am done each time so it does not stay outside without me (which I think is helping it last longer). I have also used it on some camping trips. I did buy a second set of straps. I love the carabiners on the hammock. It makes for super comfortable easy out up and take down. Overall, this hammock was a wonderful investment and totally worth it. I recommend it all the time to people that ask about mine. Much cheaper than some of the ones being sold and perfect for me. It has held up beautifully and makes for a great nap spot. ... show more

I got this at the same time as a Sewanta Hammock. Both were a bargain, costing between $9 and $10 on sale. They are very similar. However, the Kootek has tree straps that are at least 2x as long as the Sewanta, and a larger carrying bag. Longer tree straps are useful on large trees, and you never know what you are going to find. The fabric on both these hammocks seems a thin compared to the Latticure Outfitters hammock hanging in my yard, which is also longer and has thicker straps. (It is possible the Latticure is a double. It is rated for 450-650 lbs. This one is rated for 400 lbs. The Latticure is not currently available and I can't see what I paid for it, but it was more than $10.) I have been using the Latticure all summer, every summer, since 2018 and it is still going strong. I have had other nylon hammocks split after a year or two when they get weathered, so it is good to take them down in the rain. I hope the Kootek holds up and can carry the weight of my larger relatives. Time will tell. I find this sort of light nylon hammock really comfortable and convenient. I always carry an extra in my car for picnics and camping. I highly recommend getting one if you don't have one. Perhaps, like me, you would like to get more than one as gifts! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This hammock is well made and very durable. As you can see from my *silly goose* video review, I literally rolled around in the whole thing and didn’t come close to falling out or ripping the material. It can fit two people, so if it’s just used for one person, you can really stretch out and get comfy in either direction. I’ve taken two naps in this thing already and spend hours on end just relaxing outside :). The carabiners are attached to the hammock when you receive it, attach the straps around a tree or post, then clip the carabiner, and you’re all set! I hope this review was helpful 🩵 ... show more
