  • Happy drummer
My grandson loves this digital drum pad! His parents love that it has an output for ear buds!

  • Very portable
Got this drum pad and two others for my son to try and this was his pick for the winner. It wasn’t the best quality, but it was the most compact and complete unit we tried. He plays it for hours every day. 15 different settings for sounds, volume control, it’s a great unit for practice but you’re not going to be impressing anyone with its sound quality. It works just fine tho. ... show more

  • Impressed!
There are multiple preset kits for various styles, and none of them sound bad. This is a quality product for both the beginner and the pro. Good feel for a practice pad, but also for live performance and recording. I am very impressed.

  • Pads were too small for me.
I'm sure this drum kit is great for some users, but as a beginning drummer it just was not what I was expecting as a learning tool. It sounds OK, but after practicing with a real drum kit I can tell the real thing is a better and more fun way to play drums. I returned it after a few days. I'll eventually get a set of real drums, probably a small kit just to play along with my favorite rock songs. ... show more

  • It's Just a Toy for Kids
The media could not be loaded. The bass and hi hat pedals are touch and go and nonresponsive often. You can't really follow along when playing a song. The bass pedal has no resistance so it's useless. The hi hat pad, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. It'll be a corner peace. I personally think you'll easily get bored whether your an adult or a kid after a while. I'll probably send it back. ... show more

  • I haven't played in a LONG time and this might get me back into it!
The media could not be loaded. I never really "played" drums. I had a drum set while I was in middle school but I honestly haven't picked up drumsticks since. This little kit is great if you just want something to mess around on and practice. (I know I need the practice! Haha) I just tried to include a few different sounds in the video I included with this. THE BAD: Here are a couple little issues I've noticed from using this kit. 1) There could be bigger/better rubber grips on the foot pedals. You may be able to see them slide around a little in the video I included with this review. 2) I don't think it has a memory? Whenever I turn it off and then back on again, it starts at the loudest volume and says "BLUETOOTH MODE". Then I have to turn it all the way back down before I start playing. If there's a way to stop it from doing that, it'd be cool if someone could send me a message and let me know how to do it! I didn't see anything in the manual but I might've missed it? 3) You might want to get yourself a pair of drumsticks if you don't have some. I just don't like these very much. I used the ones that come with this kit in the video and I've been using them to test it, but they're really lightweight and soft. (They say they're 5A's... I used to know what all the numbers and letters meant but I've forgotten now it's been so long.) THE rest of the GOOD: Other than those 3 things though, I really love this little kit. The built in battery is decent as well. I've been playing out on my porch while recording the video I included with this review for 30 - 45 minutes and the kit is still powered up. Good volume, lots of different built in sounds. (Not to mention that you could use it as a MIDI kit and use a bunch of software instruments too.) You can plug in headphones to use it! (I think this is probably the best feature if you live in an apt building or with family, etc.) It's decently responsive to stick hits too, though I do notice a little lagging with the hi-hat foot pedal occasionally. It definitely could just be that my timing is off too so I won't really hold this against the kit until I know for sure that it's the kit lagging. Which is why I still rated this product 5 stars. SUMMARY: If you're a beginner and you're just looking for a kit to mess around on, or if you used to play and are just getting back into it like me, this is a great little kit to start with! All the features and options it has are sweet and it also seems like it gives you a little room to grow too. (with the midi controller portion, I mean.) The only person I wouldn't recommend this for is for pro's that are looking to specifically use this as a midi controller or something. It seems accurate, but it might not be accurate enough that a pro would be satisfied with it. I'm not a pro though obviously, so I really can't say for sure. ... show more

  • Pedals slide around since they are light. Sounds GREAT!
I have been using this for a couple of weeks now and am really enjoying it. My main issue is with the pedals sliding around. I am thinking I might take a piece of plywood and cut out a hole the size of the pedal so the wood surrounds it and I do not have to alter the pedal in any way. I will not use a thick piece of plywood or it will cause the pedal to be too low to be pushed down properly. With regard to the response speed: I have not the skill to get close to the limit of this unit, which makes it well matched for me. Additionally, I like that it senses how hard I hit the pads (acceleration) so that it changes the volume. The selection of various drums is more than adequate. Being an amateur, I cannot say if the fixed location of each drum is at the best location, but it does offer great variety of sounds none the less. I have dropped the unit from about 18 inches a couple of times and it seems to have withstood the impact exceptionally well. Presently, I am trying to get the unit to communicate with my DAW through the USB MIDI port. I have gotten it working, but it has only been able to add notes on one instrument track (I believe this to be a limitation of the free DAW software I am using - and need to explore the issue further so that I can learn more about this feeding of the signal into the computer). It feeds the signal in at the proper times and puts in the volume (acceleration) from each pad hit. ... show more

  • Great sound for the money.
I am 63 years old and I added this to my Electric drum kit sounds good I also love that it has a built-in battery I don’t need to plug it in. The only negative point I can say about this drum kit it does not convert for left-handed use.
