I really love these glass food storage containers! They don’t take up much room in the fridge or when I’m storing them in the cabinet because they stack so well. There’s no slipping off of each other, the smaller containers fit inside the bigger ones and then you can stack them…to give you even more space. The glass is a thick glass that can even go in the oven. I wish I had chosen the grey snap lids instead of the green ones but live and learn. You can’t go wrong with this set…no matter which color lids you choose :) These also would be great for dorm rooms! ... show more

Microwave, and dishwasher safe...and I put them in the freezer as well. Best of all, I love the hinged lids on these...finally a solution to the bendable tabs that continuously break. I like the thick glass, even though it is not an actual Pyrex product, it seems qualified to do the job. The only issue I see with these is they are NOT stackable. You can barely fit one within the other (goes half way) but when you do attempt to stack them, the get lodged (stuck) within one another, and cause a risk of breakage when trying to release one from another. One solution is to place a thin sheet of paper towel or wax paper between pieces. It's a touch inconvenient, but a quality food storage container nevertheless. ... show more

Ordered these to start replacing all of my various plastic tupperware with glass; plastics breakdown and I am trying to be more cognizant of how much plastic we use and keep in the home or cook our food in. These are a great and a value-effective start to that for anyone hoping to do the same! 1. Pros: heavy, sturdy, click tight lids, dishwasher, and microwave safe, lids are solid. 2. Cons: Also - heavy, the rubber seal can get out of place which makes it difficult to reseal - have to push it back in place, cleaning underneath this seal will be a priority so you'll have to remove eventually and get adept at tucking it back in. Overall, great start and I was able to recycle about 25 plastic tupperware and their corresponding lids. ... show more

I wasn't thrilled to have basic plastic lids. When I ordered them there was no information posted regarding the lid material. Defeats the purpose of no plastic to stain or melt when microwaving now that the lids will stain and probably melt or at least warp if used to reheat. I did test out the waterproof claim by filling one half way with water and shaking it like I couldn't stop until it leaked. It took almost a minute to get a drop out that dampened my fingers. Safe to say under normal use without heating the lids they are watertight. ... show more

These glass food containers are shockingly good. They came beautifully packaged, with cardboard inserts between the large and small containers, so as to protect them from breaking; and with peel-off plastic protectors on the lids, as to protect them from getting scratched. I’ve never seen those peel-offs used to protect glass storage containers before. The containers are made from thick, ridged glass, borosilicate glass which feels durable in your hands. But it’s the lids that are the stars. They close with 4 satisfying snaps AND THEY DO NOT LEAK. They do not leak for a long time. My husband inadvertently stored one of the containers, with fruit and orange juice, upside down in the refrigerator. And I did not have to clean it up. [Please see photo.] That’s what convinced me to get rid of all the plastic containers I have and replace them with these. Sadly, the KOMUEE containers don’t really stack. The small containers do fit inside the big containers, but the big containers don’t fit inside each other. They “stack” in that you can put them on top of each other, all the way to your kitchen ceiling. But this small inconvenience doesn’t keep me from loving these containers. This is a great set of glass food storage containers with acrylic lids. Each lid has a silicone gasket which helps keep the containers airtight. They are very heavy, not thin or cheap. They clean up beautifully and they can stack, but be sure you put something between each one or they will get stuck together, and then it's a major operation getting them unstuck again. I use paper towels because my felt pan liners are too thick to form the very narrow shield needed to prevent the glass air-locking. Plus, it helps protect the glass from chipping at the edges. They came packed very well, with the smaller containers inside the larger ones, separated by a cardboard insert. Each acrylic lid was well covered with removable plastic film to prevent scratches. It took a while to unpack them all but the care was appreciated, as each of the 10 containers is in perfect condition. These will definitely take up space in your fridge but theyre so well made that for me, it's worth it. Each larger container can hold a good portion and the smaller ones are good for leftovers, sauces, portion control, or smaller foods, snacks, cheese slices, etc. I'm very pleased with this set. My mom had a similar set of storage glassware like this about 35 years ago and lost them on a move to a new house. These dishes by Komuee are perfect for anything from weekly meal prep to just storing left over food from dinner. You get 10 dishes for such a great price point considering the heavy quality of the glass, which is microwave/oven/dishwasher safe, and the seal-tight lids. I have already used this set to dump over half of my plastic storage (which was likely loaded with chemicals) for the safety of glassware. Now since these are glass, you will need to be mindful that they take up ALOT more space, be it in the cabinet, the dishwasher, or your fridge shelf, and weigh considerably more. The two size dishes make storage easy and versatile for whatever your needs might be; I am currently using the larger size for storing meatballs, and the smaller size for homemade fruit sorbet desserts. I am very pleased with the collection from Komuee and would love to see even larger casserole size dishes in the future for an affordable price like these. ... show more
